Question Help with Theory?

I started studying theory the other day in my free time. But seeing that most of the stuff I will be studying is in standard notation, which I can read, I will need to memorize where all those notes on the finger board are. But I can't find a diagram anywhere that is clear enough to actually read when I print them out because they are so small and when I enlarge them they just get blury. So if any one could show me a good one that has all the notes (flats and sharps too) that would be great.
Thanks.

OR, you could figure it out yourself
not trying to be an ass but that would be the best way to learn it mate!
ok so you have, the open strings(as on tabs)
e
b
g
d
a
E
and you know(assuming) that the musical alhpabet goes up in half steps and each fret is a half step so
the 1st fret for all the strings would be the notes
f
c
g#
d#
a#
f

because the musical alphabet goes
A,A#(Bb),B,C(B#),C#(Db),D,D#(Eb),E,F(E#),F#(Gb),G,G#(Ab)
the notes in the () represent the same not but that is their enharmonic value, which you have to use for scales other stuff.
you could also have stuff like "Ax"--> which is an A note that is raised two halfsteps(double sharp) which would basically be a B note, you could also the the reverse for flats...but lets not cofuse you too much

but anyway just keep going up the music alphabet on each string, then once you get to the 12 fret, they repeat because you have gone through all the notes (called an octave)

And to add to your knowledge about this, the lowest note on the guitar (the open E) can be located on teble cleff by drawing 3 lines below the measure (as in you draw one line below to to get a middle C) and its the space under the line.

So use what the guitar deamon guitar said, and begin from the place I told you, and you will have an understanding of where everything is overtime with practice.

Thanks Guitar Demon. I would have never thought of learning it myself.

If I have any more questions on Theory I'll post them in the new forum
Cheers John

A mod should move this (just a sugestion)

Plant your index on an F. Spread your fingers out as wide as possible, so that there is exactly one fret between each finger. Your fingers should either ALL be on inlays, or not. For the purpose of this exercise, the 12th fret inlay must be ignored, and we pretend there is an inlay at the 11th and 13th frets

Now that your index is on F, your other 3 fingers are on G, A, and B. This holds true no matter what F you are on.

Plant your index on the C on the same string. Spread your fingers out as wide as possible, so that there is exactly one fret between each finger, but don't fret with the pinky. Your fingers should either ALL be on inlays, or not. If the F-block was all on inlays, then the C-block is all NOT on inlays.

Now that your index is on C, your other 3 fingers are on D, and E. This holds true no matter what C you are on. Now look at your ring finger. Right after it is another F. Which means that if you put your index finger there, you know all the notes that follow.

Here are the tricks:
1) The F-block always follows a C block always follows an F-Block always folows a C-Block etc on the same string.
2) If one is ON the inlays, the other in NOT, given that you stay on the same string.
3) F block is always F G A B
4) C-block is always C D E
5) Black keys infill the white keys, like on a piano. Sharps are the notes in between.

Now you have NO EXCUSE to not know where you are.
