good setup?
hey i am lookin for some sort of a good setup for hardcore metalcore
(atreyu, poison the well,) or metal (pantera metallica megadeth)
i am willing to save up $1500 to $1700 for a guitar preferebly an esp of some sort, a quad box at around $800, and a head for around $1200 can you all pls tell me wat u think would be a good setup for that price range thanx  |

I'll stop. And answer your question.
If you want an ESP, I would say a really good Viper. Sadly, I've not had the pleasure of playing one, but a lot of good metalcore bands (Atreyu used to) use them. I don't know about heads though, I only ever had combo amps, I'm pretty low on cash.

dude, if you have that money... you could get a way nice setup...
my favorite esp's are the horizons....
$800 for a 4x12... new you could probably get a mesa, marshall or something else nice like that... or if it's used you can get even cheaper than that.
for a head, $1,200 will go prety far on the used market... but if you want something new, i'd look into peavey tube tops like the xxx,5150, 5150 II, and jsx... maybe a mesa f-series or a marshall jcm of some sort....

As does Darkest Hour and GWAR and im sure plenty more bands.
