EMG Wiring Help URGENT
Hey all, I got my set of EMG 60/81 yesterday and i need some help wiring here. I know how to solder and all, but im slightly baffled on where to solder what. I got ahold of a diagram for my setup but im still confused.
Here is a picture, if anyone could spare a few minutes and maybe use Paint and draw lines to where everything should connect at. Its a 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way blade switch setup. Thanks alot.
Diagram: http://www.guitarnucleus.com/gitsch...t-3wayblade.gif
And here is the wiring pic:

hmm, i put in my dimarzioa myself but it was way different then what you have there. it didnt come with any instructions when you bought them? also is that diagram the right one? i think you have to hook up passive and active pickup differently...i think the ones you have are active but i dont know much about emg's so

Ive solved the problem and my guitar sounds sweet as hell now.
Thanks to the link Slabbe provided to me .
And yes, thats a diagram for actives, it shows the battery clip.
The problem, I discovered, was that the main pup wires were touching the GROUNDs on the switch, shorting them, so i just resoldered them in a different spot and cured the problem.
Thanks again

Does your X2N lack something?
And how does it sound on your clean chanel?
My output sounds lacked a bit.

Arsehole
BTW on one of my frets theres a little notch out of it, G (3rd string) 12th fret, and the string gets in there sometimes while i play a buzzs up, I hafe 9 guage's should I got with 11's and that might solve the buzzzing, do I have to replace the fret?

fret level..
or just tape off the fretboard at use some #0000 grade steel wool to buff it out.

...well you could get out a flame thingy, and some metal-melt it to the fret without damaging the fringerboard and surronding frets then painstakingly sand/mold it done to the exact shape of the other frets
or you could just get a new fret

It dosent have to be replace, a fret level can easily fix it. Most likely their jumbo frets, so after the fret level you wont even notice any difference.

ive found my duncan vintage '59 does a good job in my LP in the neck, like a warm sweeping tone, best ive heard so far. I wonder how differant it would sound if i put it in like an explorer, considering its passive and stuff.

I live my Jazz in the neck of a Les Paul mmm
Back off the volume a bit and you can get an awesome blues tone.
