"In the Darkness"
New one.
"In the Darkness"
I remember once upon a time
When there was only you and I
With a dream that was spirited by the wind.
I remember once when nothing mattered
Except the moonlight on my shoulder
And your smile like a star from above.
(Chorus)
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember your touch
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember all your love
In the darkness
In the darkness
I can still feel
I still feel you
Here in the darkness
Nothing I ever do takes my mind off you.
I can't seem to put you out of my head.
Passing days away it's always just the same.
Day after day, sunshine or rain.
Doesn't matter how the day goes by.
I still feel your presence near.
Sometimes these feelings drive me wild.
(Chorus)
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember your touch
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember all your love
In the darkness
In the darkness
I can still feel
I still feel you
Here in the darkness
(Break)
I see your eyes.
Feel your touch.
Taste your kiss.
The longing gets too much.
Need your arms.
Smell your skin.
What can I do?
Oh, love, what can i do?
(Chorus)
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember your touch
In the darkness
In the darkness
I remember all your love
In the darkness
In the darkness
I can still feel
I still feel you
Here in the darkness
In the darkness I remember all of your love.

I'm a woman. W-O-M-A-N I'll say it again.
I just thought I'd get you numnuts away from the blood, guts, and gore for a moment.
But you know something? I read this with a male's voice in my head and Ozzy would do a great job on it. Hmm, interesting.
But thank you for reading it and commenting.

AW MY SHOE! :') That's so nice. I've been very numb for the last few days, and it brought a bit of a tear to my eye. Smell your skin feels a tiny bit weird, but this is very emotional and cool.

Why is it dark? Why is it about "remembering" and not actually feeling?
I kinda like it, but it feels too "poppy" (no, not "poopy") for my taste. To work for me, it would have to be less structured, more random, if it's going to use this type of words and have this type of message. But that's just me.

powers' --Thanks.
Slabbe' --Ooo! I like it when I get a reaction. Well, maybe not that much of one. Ya fresh! Ya like older women, huh? I'm teasing.
G_urr_A---It's 'remembering' instead of 'feeling' because the person being sung about is no longer there. I'm not hearing it real poppy, but I suppose it could be.

I like this song and think it would go well with a more mainstream band like seether or the rasmus maybe even that punk band yellowcard. You mite not like those bands but they are making big money with lyrics like those.

i think they are great lyrics.
They could fit with any genre of music mostly. (well minus hip-hop and all those weird fucking sub-metal genres)

I could just imagine a bunch of teenage girls at a concert screaming "I LOVE YOU L,B'XXX!" and trying to tear a piece of Bobbi's clothing to worship for ever and ever. Any band can sing about warm and fuzzy lerve, actually, eventhough these lyrics have a slightly Rasmusy feel, they kick ass, and make me want to hold up a lighter, eventhough I don't have one.
