Kreator VS. Slayer
When I saw the Pantera v Slayer poll I began to wonder why. Kreator would be a much better match, not because Kreator are any better than Pantera, but because both bands are very similar.
Anyhow, I'm going for the Germans. Mille is god.

My vote goes to Slayer... besides, I seen them last night and have recent knowledge of why they kickass. They really are a tight band. I don't know how some folks can say that King plays sloppy  That dude hits every note perfect. I kinda thought Jeff was a little sloppy myself but his leads were the shizzle. He looked drunk too though. I wish I could play that well when I was drunk. |

Hobbs is a terrific guitarist, but most Suffocation songs are simply too fucking long. Too many riffs in one song. Especially on album- Pierced. They could make like three albums from that one.

Im suprised some one hasnst said Kreator besides who posted. Im not too keen on thrash, kinda new school grind, deathgrind kid, so.....Be gental......Im gonna have to go with Kreator, i saw them with vader not too long ago, and they got the place fuckin WILD!!!!!!!
In my eyes, kreator is more true to todays metal scene, slayer seems more mainstreme, there for more watered down, NOW.. but yeah

'faggy'? Watch your mouth kiddo. Mille does have a better screaming voice, but I love the way Tom did vocals in the 80's, he practically talked when he did it, barely even distorting his voice at all, and it sounded awesome. Mille is probably my favorite thrash vocalist.
But yes, Kreator was uber-br00tal with 'Endorama', y'know really true to the metal scene and all.

Well I didn't hear Kreator until I was a bit bored of thrash, so Slayer for me.
And soul, they might be tight live, but my guitar teacher has a program that lets you slow the songs down and he showed me that Reign In Blood is a bit on the sloppy side. I still love it though.

At those speeds it does sound great, but I guess if you slowed it down you would find some mistakes. They are human, but like I said, at normal speed there isn't much time to critque ever note.

Pleasure To Kill is one of the greatest thrash albums ever, better then any Slayer album. Reign In Blood is the best Slayer album, but Extreme Aggression and Pleasure To Kill are both better. Enemy Of God is awesome to.

My favorite bands include both MA and CC, but I'd have to go with MA just because they're my favortie band of all time.
As for the 'Slayer vs. Kreator' thing, my vote definitely goes to Slayer, since they are also one of my favorite bands (and because, in my opinion, they completely kick Kreator's ass.) |
