7-strings
What kind of 7-string you got. Ibanez 7620, black cherry.

Schechter (or however the fuck you spell it!) Diamond Series. The input jack's broke and I can't be arsed to get it fixed. I don't really use it that much anyway - it's quite cumbersome to play.

I wish I had a 7 string Ironbird. But since I'll never buy a 7 string I'll stick to a Bb 6 string. But the Ironbird would be nice...

I find that 7 strings do open up more sonic possibilities, ie 7-string sweeps and such but I still prefer 6 strings myself.

I'm having a little difficulty transposing the scales. You can go to the 6th string in the same key, or you can stay on the seventh and add an exrta line on the 1st. It is kind of cumbersome, and it's hard to work lead on it. I'm going to a lower gauge to be able to play faster and bend easier.

I use an Arya MAC 7 string, it was quite cheap (£300) and its quite good. I think ill change the pickups though, the ones ive got now are a bit weak.

(not saying any of you cant play) i saw this kid in a store one time picking up a 7-string and was like oh yea this is what i want and tried to play it so like an ass i was like "kid if you cant play six why bother getting seven?" he just kinda put it down and slumped away...
i dont have one iv played them there not that comfertable for me, and i dont tune below a full step so i dont really need one...however i would probably get a ibanez 7-universe if i was to get one

I don't own an RG7 but I've played one for quite a while, I even have a pic of me playing it: pic
I only used it to play Unearth stuff with and really nothing more then some metal stuff, it was not too hard to get used too really but I didn't use the B string much. I feel more comfortable on a 6 string and the RG7 just fellt clumsy when I played faster stuff, must have been the neck.
not bad guitars but I don't tune down lower then full D anyway, guess they're just not meant for me.
GD has a point, the uv7's are neat. they sound way better then stock rg7's and they have smoother necks. (though you can get an rg7 to sound good with emg's..)

I also have the rg7620.. awesome guitar. I would never pay $1000+ for a UV when i can get a RG7620 that isent ugly as fuck for cheaper.

As for me, I have an Ibanez Prestige Double Edge 7. They don't make it anymore. I find them easy to play because I've played on one for about 80-90% of my guitar "career". But recently its been a little bit harder to play it because I've been tabbing Psycroptic on a piece of shit samick, therefore playing that one more often.

Its a good guitar, but its basically an RG7620 that cost $1000+, has an ugly paintjob and a useless U-Bar.

I don't have a 7 string, and I never plan to get one. You know what would be nice though? A 12 string acoustic guitar....

I can´t found this guitar here. The only 7 stringed guitars i canfound here are the 7321 and the K7 and the k7 is 5 times espensiver than the other. And one warlock 7 stringed.
But i´ll ask for the Rg7620. To try it.

That's the same one I have except mines black cherry and not a Blaze custom. I got it mainly for playing Morbid Angel and being able to play the leads to. The first seven string was a Fender Strat that came out in the 80's or early 90's.
