Is this guitar any good? I've always hated 7 string guitars for some reason, I think I have OCD or some shit, but this one's pretty, and it's cheap, heheh. In all seriousness though, I want to experiment with different types of guitars, so yeah....should I get it?

Pretty awesome, but I'd stick with a six string. The Universe never was all that popular. Not even Vai uses it much any more. It's just something about that seventh string!

Well I figured, tuned standard (A E A D G B E) I could play any thing normally on the bottom 6 strings but then I could have that naughty A string to fuck around with when I want Nile-ish type shit

standard 7-string tuning is BEADGBE, but whatever, they play well, better than ibanez, IMO, but my favortie seven string is still the squier stagemaster 7-string, its been discontinued for a while now, but still a killer guitar

The tuning you had was the one Nile uses, anyway.
If you can afford it without having to stop eating, there's no harm in getting another string.

Seven string guitars aren't for everyone. (Obviously) I know Cannibal uses em....at least Pat does, but I bet he is just gonna use his new custom all the time now. I love em though....the one you are looking at isn't all that bad. My bandmate has this.....and it fucking rocks.

And yeah, I have some pennies to spend...plus Santa Claus isn't too far you know. I'm gonna buy it. The thing about this guitar that bothers me a little is that you can get it in blue or black but you'd have to pay $50 extra for black...wtf is that? I mean, i was planning on getting it blue anyways, since i just bought a Blue Voodoo...and i have a blue mustang... ...but the fact that if i DID want it black, i'd have to pay more kinda bothers me.
Anyways, I've heard Schecters were pretty sick, that's why I was lookin at this one. I play a Jackson Warrior so a Schecter would be a pretty drastic change, should be good though
