how much do you think i could get for a marshall avt-275 missing one nob and one very small scratch.i love it i think its sounds good but i have to tweak it all the time.i just want a half stack, other than that theres no reason for me to sell it.need an upgrade

Haha, that's one of the best places to get a guitar/amp. Unless you go to a local shop and they sell them extremely cheap...so make sure you go around and ask a few places before picking where you wanna sell it.
Lightly used guitars are one of my top picks, but make sure EVERYTHING on the guitar works like you'd expect it to, and don't worry about the strings and knobs...those are easy to replace if you didn't already know that.

i just thought i would tell you, im talkin about an amp.its 900 new from gc.more from other places.you think i could maybe get 500$?

maybe if you sell it on ebay.
expect less if you sell it in a music store or pawn shop.
Price drops because its missing a knob though, or is the knob still functional but just missing the "hood" on the knob?

your average music store would buy it from you for %60 of what they'd sell it for.... so you'd get $250-300 going that route... a pawn shop would give you even less.
that's why i never sell to stores. prefer to spam on forums and post classified adds because i'm not fond of the selling process on ebay(not really fond of the buying proccess either, but some stuff is to good to pass up).
you best bet $-wise is to sell it yourself.
