On-line buying
Hi, I live in San Diego, Ca, USA. I want to find some websites where I can buy a Mesa Triple Rectifier, the only website that i found recto's is on e-bay, but i don't want to buy on e-bay. Does someone know a webpage where i can buy new mesa recto's???
Thanks in Advanced

you cannot purchase a new one over the internet, unless you're having one custom from mesa, like with red tolex or other custom options... even then, you have to go through a dealer.
they have weird policies about shipping...
i'd reccomend a used one anyways, ebay, harmonycentral.com's classified adds.... instrumentexchange.com, ect. are the types of site i'd look at.

a new one is about 1800 i think... but for that you can get a new engl powerball which completely destroys the recto... if you have 1800, id go for the powerball man, youll love that thing for years to come.

a new one at the local gc here is like $1,700... the powerball would destroy it, totally worth the extra $200... but, why buy new?
a used triple recto is like $800-$1,300 depending on the condishion.

yeah, thats what i meant, id say if you want a really mean, destructive totally killer tone, go for the powerball. Go to rocksolidamps.com for more info on it, DerekB will gladly help you if you have questions.

i've already said it... mesa does not allow online dealers... if you're buying one from the internet it's used.

Hey thanks guys for all the reply's . I really like the Mesa Triple Recto, a friend of mine has one and it just kill, I like the overall tone and the clean sounds very good. I have never heard the ENGL, i don't know anyone who has one and in the stores here in San Diego, CA, they don't have one.
The thing is that i want to upgrade to a more bigger sound, but i don't have a clear decision, here's the thing. I have a Peavey 5150 half stack, it's the 5150 head and the 5150 cab, i have an Ibanez RG-1527 and a Jackson Kelly. I can sell the half stack and the Jackson, for the 5150 half stack i get $900 dlls, and for the Jackson i get $450 dlls, and i have $600 of my own to spend, so that gives me a total of $1950 dlls and just my Ibanez RG-1527 of equipment.
I need to buy a head an a cab, or i can buy just the head for the moment, and ask my friend to lend me his cab. Because i have various shows in the next months. So my question is, what do you recommend me, with all the things that i have said. I'm looking for something bigger than a Peavey 5150 half stack, nothing lower, i want a better sound.
Thanks in advanced

well, with the engl, you are assured german quality, and great tone. But anyway, if your heart is set on the recto, then get it, but you could get an engl fireball, which is great too, or an engl screamer, which a little more marshall-ish sounding.
