Corpsegrinder Hospitalized!
Hey Guys, yesterday, Cannibal Corpse played an Instrumental show in Pittsburgh due to Corpsegrinder was not felling great, he got hospitalized!!
so, i don't know if he is okay now!!!

George became ill, went to the hospital yesterday and he has a viral lung infection. He is in alot of pain, and did not play last nights show. Instead the guys did an instrumental instead of cancelling and gave fans the option at the door to get refunded or come in. They let the fans come up and sing and stage dive etc.
George is going to try to continue the last 7 shows. I am sure they will make announcements at each show about this. When I talk to Paul today I can further update you. I know that George CAN NOT be around any smoke what so ever so they are trying to figure this out. If you see him and you smoke, please do not approach him with a cigarette in hand.
I'll let you know more as I know.

They are the highest chart topping Death Metal band so far, they get mad promotion from their label, music videos played on tv, interviews on many magazines, TV, and guest appearances at shows. They sometimes can make the same money as SLipknot. Shows u how much u know...

I wouldn't say that at all. Cannibal Corpse have sold 1 million records over the course of 15 years while Slipknot sold 2 million off the back of just one album. You can also consider the fact that Slipknot play to between 5'000 and 10'000 people every night of a tour and charge hugely inflated prices for t-shirts and other merchandise. Cannibal Corpse will play to between 500 and 1'000 people on tour and charge affordable prices for merchandise. The sheer economics of these facts dictate that CC can not, have not and will not earn as much money as Slipknot.

lol, morbid i think you're a little late. according to the CC website George is improving and will be able to finish the tour, especially because of a the antibiotic hes taking that reduces the inflammation. im glad hes doing better, but i should hope he wouldnt do the show if its hurting him to do so. ill be ok with an instrumental set

CANNIBAL CORPSE bassist Alex Webster has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"Hey everyone, we just wanted to update you guys on the situation with George [Fischer, vocals]. He has an inflamed lung that has been making breathing very difficult and painful for him. He had to miss the Pittsburgh show because of this. We want to say thanks to Maurizio from KATAKLYSM for singing 'Stripped, Raped and Strangled' with us, and also say thanks to the Pittsburgh fans who contributed some growling throughout the show. We thought we might have a similar situation at the next show in Philadelphia, but George was able to perform despite his illness. He is still having some breathing difficulty, but he is improving. He also thinks he'll be able to finish the remaining shows without any problems, as the medicine the doctors prescribed for him is reducing the inflammation. Anyway, this is not a permanent problem, just a passing illness. George should be just fine soon.
"George and the rest of us want to say a big thank you to all of the fans who have expressed concern and support on this matter, it means a lot to us."
