apocalypse looks good man. i dunno which ones a samick, but absolutely not a samick. they do make fairly decent practice amps due to price only, but never an axe. axes should be part of you, respectful, quality. samick will make you look like it: cheap piece of poo.

as i stated before, go with apocalypse.

I get ragged on for having an RG 370dx ("korean piece of shit") and I can play that thing better than some people who have Les Pauls. So fuck man, if you can play it, and you like it, FUCK everyone else.

Hey dude, I was just teasing you about the Paul Stanley thing. Sorry if you took offense.
I actually like the look of those guitars, even though the headstock doesn't really go with the rest of the guitar. (I think it should be symmetrical, like the body...) Some local dealers recently had some CRAZY blowout sales on the Paul Stanley stuff and I came THIS close to grabbing one myself.

Yes, your guitar was made my Samick, but I don't see that as a bad thing.
Their woodwork is good, and you can just upgrade electronics and hardware to suit your needs as you get used to the guitar. I have an Epiphone Flying V
(those are made by Samick) and after gutting the electrical parts and replacing them with parts from StewMac, some DiMarzio pickups and some Schaller tuners- BAM! Oh, and a little knowhow with a trussrod tool helps as well... Plays great, sounds great, stays in tune. What more could you want?

If it wont fit, you can get a shope to cut out the space for it. It should sound fine on such an ugly thing. At least you'll have THAT going for you...

Of all guitars you picked one of my least favorite body styles of all times. (not that it matters I play a mockingbird and people dislike those too)I would hae to say I prefer even the bich to that.

i know what your saying, i play a fuckin squier affinity telecaster most of the time, and i know i can play circles around alot of the guys at school who have expensive fuckin guitars. its not about price, thats what a newb looks at, IMO, my tele plays and sounds better than any gibson i have ever played on, which would be quite a few, since i have given them many chances to impress me.

EMGs= Standard sized humbuckers
Your Apocalypse= Standard sized humbuckers
SO, answer= yes.
If you can work a screwdriver & soldering gun, it can be done with a minimum of fuss and hassle. In fact, pickup changes are probably the simplest mod you can do.

Will it sound good?
Answer= Do YOU like the way EMGs sound? There lies your answer.
I personally am not crazy about active pickups, but that is solely a matter of opinion, so if the shoe fits...

I get the impression you play pretty heavy stuff. Maybe a Bill Lawrence XL500? That is the pickup the Duncan Dimebucker was modeled after, but the Lawrence is a better product for less $$$. If that doesn't suit you, how 'bout a DiMarzio X2N? Those are both really "wide open" heavy pickups.

Question about your Apocalypse- how smooth is the action on it? There are still some of them for sale really cheap around here and I am still tempted. Just want to hear a review from somebody who has one.
