what do you lot think about the vintage metal axxe series of guitars

i have just ordered the esp viper copy and it has a floyd rose trem, coil tapped dual humbuckers and 24 xl frets. the paint job is a bit crap but the body is awesome.

i won it on ebay, brand new, for £115 (list price at £239 might i add )

its my first ever guitar

does any1 kno how good they are, if theyre reliable or what?

Ive heard they are shit, and you always get what you pay for.

i really hate those guitars man, the only nice vintage i played was a les paul, but even then it werent that good. You should of bought an Aria mac series guitar or a fenix. But never mind, it aint extremely bad

From just looking at it, it looks decent. I havent played it though so I cant really tell. And, it is his first guitar so he cant really be that picky.

hmm, it was either this a squire strat, a yamaha pacifica 112 or an ibanez rg370dx.

obviously i wanted the ibanez rg370dx but i knew my dad would have sed that £260 is too much for a starter guitar and would have, in turn, probably got a cheappy lil guitar from the argos catalogue.

so yea, i thought this was the next best option and thats y i bought it. im sure it will last more that a year because thats probably the next time i will a guitar.

so how much are the aria's and where would i get it?

im waiting for my guitar to come, it should come on monday, i hope it dont get fucked up in the delivery van.

pretty allright beginners guitars though.

do you know if i will have any trouble installing a pair of emg 81's because of the fact that it has coil tap on it.

if theres no compartment for the battery that wont be a problem because my local guitar shop will do that and install a plastic battery compartment with its own cover which means what you can chage the battery from the back.

i was wondering about the wiring and the if i will have to remove any of those switches, pots or anything. i dont wanna any holes there.

o yea and i was wondering if i would have to install any new pots.

well aria mac's are about £150 new but u have to shop around. Very good starter guitars. You also could have probly found and bought an Aria pro II mac guitar from the mid 90's second hand for around £80 and they rock. I used to own one, had a pretty good licensed floyd, decent pickups, thin and comfy neck and body etc. anyways if u should have no problemo's puttin in emgs, it should be easy if a professionals doin it or even a beginner aslong as u foloow the diagrams
