hey i got a question for all u equipment ppl...

my band is going for an audition and we are gonna be using their amps and cabinets...

my concern is that we dun get the right sound and equalization that we want...
should i use pedals where all the setting are already pre-set? or should i use distortion from their amps?

any ideas?

what amps are they going to have?...
tone is in the fingers... just piss with the basic eq'ing for the first like 5-10 minutes.

bring your pedals just in case they have really shitty gear.

i think u should go with the tryed and trusted method of 'use ure own effects, ask question later' lol, its less riskier if u really want to impress

Yeah, I would bring your distortion pedal or whatever with. Try out the amps distortion first and see how you like that. If it sucks, then just use your pedals.

If it all sounds like ass no matter what and you can't get your sweet spots then just go crazy and have fun and tell them you made the best of the sound you got from their amps on short notice.
