What about beards, I had a huge viking style beard for a few months. I am growing it back now. My hair is just grazing my shoulder right now. It is around 9.5 inches long.

If I were you I would not get my hair cut. Hell, I would be lucky if my hair got passed my ears...probably not going to try to get long hair again. There is one more method I might try though, which is after buzzing my hair, is wearing a beanie for as long as possible. Has anyone done something like this before? I know a dude who does it, and his hair is going downwars.

There are quite a lot of guys around here with long hair... which is weird for such a small town. But then again, almost every guy is into metal. Of course, 90% of these "metalheads" are into slipknot and system of a down. Meh. There are a select few who like good music, and have long hair.

Here is the exact opisite. It seems to be the trend for all these 16-18 year olds to have fluffy neck length hair hanging everywhere. It makes me want to cut mine just to be different. The worst part is, its probably my fault, fucking kids all copying me

Dilemna time. The choice is, to try to grow, or to stay short. At the moment, this is what I look like. People have told me my hair looks nice like this, and I also like it (no need of fixing hair in the morning, easy to clean). I have still wondered about trying to grow it out or not though. If anyone wants to reply, would you say it would look better long or short?

My hair grows way to slow,I think my last haircut was in october and my hair is just past my nose.I live in the deep south so its always hot,I'll probably wind up cutting it.

My hair grows way to slow,I think my last haircut was in october and my hair is just past my nose.I live in the deep south so its always hot,I'll probably wind up cutting it.

u know, if u cut ur hair like once in 1 or 2 months to get the little split ends of, it wil grow faster
else its just gonna split more and more, and ull end up cutting it all of, cuz the half of it is dead, so get a hair cut once in a while
just in case u (or anybody) didnt know

thats bullshit, everyone gets split ends, i have rilli thick wavy/curly hair, and i get em, maybe u dont see them, cuz there are a few ways that tell if ur hair splitted, weel thats what my aunt says and shes a hairdresser so i trust her on that

In about a month my hair will be at that beatles-bowl length, how long will it take to get to a descent shoulder-length? But it does help prevent hair from splitting so easily depending on what's in it. It's like using saddle soap on leather or face products on skin to prevent drying, wrinkling, skin damage. It might not be living perse but it can last longer and saty stronger to grow longer if it's properly cared for. I swear by Mane-n-Tail conditioner and it has uv filters in it too.

getting a trim does not make your hair grow faster at all.......all it does is make it short and gives it shape so it looks better.

Man, if only I could edit my protein roots or whatever they are called. I have decided though to not shave in my senior year (growing a beard and stuff), so I might try to grow out my hair, even though it will probably look like Shane Emburry hair (I think thats how you spell his name).

I don't see what you guys find so hard about growing you hair long. Don't cut it, wash it, and brush it. Easy. I've followed those steps for 9-10 yrs and it's got me far.
