Is their really any truth to that "Cut it and it will grow faster" bullshit? Everyone says that... they all get their hair trimmed... theirs never grows any longer.. yet mine dosent stop growing. I hate the look of freshly trimmed hair.. looks fucking ridiculous.

i dont really know but it seems like it works for everyone thats tried it...its not that hair doesnt grow when its not trimmed but i think it might grow that much faster when it is...believe it...or not

If you have healthy hair with no split ends or anything, then yeah it'll probably keep going at a good rate. But if it's all damaging and shitty then it won't grow very much until the ends are clipped

yeah, freshly trimmed hair does look dumb! You can almost always tell when someones either just had their hair cu/trimmed even if youve never seen them before hand. But i have heard that if you trim the tips it will grow faster, and i think i believe it.  but i still dont understand it. |

I find that the better trimmed your hair it does grow faster. Just 2 days ago my hair was past my eyebrows, and it looked like shit. I got it trimmed about an inch or 2 and now it seems to be back where it started. The only problem is you look like an even bigger dumbass. Especially when others compliment it. (when there not into metal, damn it sucks)

 , it doesn't makes your hair grow faster, it grows at the same rate. If your hair keeps breaking, your hair can't get any longer. Trimming split ends just cuts off the parts that break, soooooo

well so far my hair is just past the back of my neck but its really curly so when i pull it straight its bout a 1/4 of the way down my back.. curly hair bugs cause all the childish little kids from lower yrs keep asking where i got my perm

my hair is actually quite short at the moment its just past my shoulders,so i keep it tied back as it is really curly. It used to be down to my ass but it got knotted so easily my mother cut it

I decided to give up on long hair a bit ago. My hair is like damn curly clown hair; it curls up and out and does not look good at all. Makes me look Cuban or something. I noticed recently though that if I don't wash my hair, it looks a ton better. I will try not washing it for a week and wear a beanie for a week to see how it looks, but if it fails...im just going to shave my head again (bald). Having a bald head requires a TON less work than hair, and thats a plus for me.

well, im serious. they told me the wouldnt graduate me if i didnt cut it some. that was at the end of the year. earlier in the year they said they would suspend me until i cut it. and i really didnt feel like leaving that school at the time. so i kept cutting it for them. this happened to me and a couple of my friends. maybe they cant "make" me cut it, but they can kick me out, or give me loads of crap if i dont. And i'll also add that theres no way my mom would let me change schools cause i wanted hair. shes not like that.

geez, dont be rediculous. it was a rule they made for all of the boys. i really didnt put up a fight considering that my hair was just barely in my eyes. if it had been shoulder length or something i would have spit in their faces and transfered. yeah, it was for assistant teaching/tutoring. I was volunteering too (where I live, to graduate from high school you got to complete 40 hours of community service). It was my first job interview type thing, so I didn't really know what to do and they called themselves 'The Church of God'.... |

To them the dress code had anything to do with your appearance. All of the guidlines were stated, and we had to follow or be punished. They thought long hair on guys was a distraction. I know, its such a crappy excuse for them to use, but for some reason they didnt want it. I argued plenty, but in the end it didnt change the "rules". yeah, sad they exist, worse if you have to be a part of it. |

My school pretty much allows everything, but the principal had to talk to me about my "offensive t-shirts", but then I told her they're much better than the pimp gangster clothes other people wear, and realised her hypocrisy.
One thing which is strictly forbidden is anything associated with drugs or alchohol. On his first day, my friend came in with a marijuana pendant chain, so they drug tested him (it was positive) and he got suspended straight away! Haha.

It happened. My hair got cut (not by my choice) and I now look like a kid who thinks Motograter invented Death metal, complete with the headphone mark that makes my hair look like it has a aerodynamic wing. Continuing with the school policy of hair, my school wont let any hair below the eyebrows and sideburns. I goto a Christian private school, so regulations are of course going to be pretty strict (if I wore my Nuclear Assault shirt plainly, I would probably be brought in for wearing a satanic skull on the front and a weapon - the nuke, on the back. I already got in trouble with my old bible teacher for wearing a Slayer shirt). With that and visitng Japan in the summer in mind (I heard its quite humid), I will probably shave my head.
[EDIT: Atleast my school is not as bad as Arvina's. Sorry to hear you got it that tough dude.]

That fucking pisses me off when i hear about public schools goin to dress codes. The year after i droped out of high school, alot of public schools in vegas started doing dress codes where kids had to go out and buy new wardrobes because the dresscode only alowed khaki pants and shirts falling into the color catagory of the schools "patriotic" colors or whatever the fuck. Thats not right that public schools can enforece dress codes like that, i can understand private schools because theyre a private institution. The public schools shouldnt be able at all to say what you can and cant wear, isnt there something in the constitution about freedom of expresion?

Man, that really sucks for you guys and especially for arvina. We have to wear uniforms at our school and a tie, but on casual days (which you usually have to pay money for, but I usually do it because it goes to good causes) I could wear any kind of metal T-shirt I wanted, unless it had a obvious reference to Satan on it, like a pentagram or 666 or something like that....because I was able to wear my emperor t-shirt to school.
The only reason why I don't go to public school is because the school community hated me and thought I was a "problem kid", and I tried going to the school a little ourside the district for high school, but the guidance couciler knew me from before....so I was fucked and had to go to "Saint Maria Goretti High School"....geez....and I wanted to go back to my district but my parents wont let me.

arvina, jesus bro i feel really sorry for you. our school is really lax on appearances, the suburb where i attend school has 10 of the most elite private schools of the melbourne province, and i attend the public school with outdoor year 9 lockers free beard, free hair length, any hairstyle you like, earrings and nose piercings are ok but chicks have their belly buttons and tongues pierced all the time and none of the teachers ever care. my mate got away with an eyebrow stud too.
only problem is our uniform, thats pretty tough. yeah man i've seen some tough shit with the uniform, my mate wore a white "immortal - sons of northern darkness" (ironic shirt really ) under his school shirt (which is white) and got it confiscated for 2 weeks plus 30 minutes of clean up duties and they say you can wear a white SS/LS shirt underneath your school one.
but man seriously your rules are a load of bullshit. |

This might surprise you andrew, but at Melbourne High (the most elite public school in Melbourne, where I used to go), as long as our uniforms were neat, we could have fucking full-on mohawks if we wanted to (and someone did have one for about 6 months). Even a lot of colours, but people didn't do that much, because you look like a dick with green hair.
However, one time I wore my Morbid Angel t-shirt (with that MA style pentagram) on a casual clothes day, and my maths teacher got really pissed, because he was the head of a program called 'Students Alive', the Christian activity group. It didn't matter much, I dropped out of school soon after that.

when i was going through my grim and necro phase, i wore a long sleeved dark throne shirt with a spike band on my arm and none of my teachers cared, i was never told to take it off. my maths teacher started asking me a few questions about satanism and whats it like and i just said "i'm not really that into it yet....." 
and yes you do look like a dick with green hair, a guy wore it for house sports day and it was like he was fronting the mardi gras. |

Man, I get real sweaty after I wack my dong. Yeah, cause I headbang while I do, and I can't really "Jump" (haha ) like VanHalen in a dorm room, so I just walk back and forth....haha a couple days ago I was jumping up and down on my bed, with my pants down and my roommate came in when I wasn't looking, hahaha.
