ESP LTD EC-300
Ive deicided not to get the ibanez i wanted, so on ebay i seen a couple of ESP LTD EC-300, i checked online music stores but they were discontinued so , does anyone own one, or know anything about it before i bid on the guitar...Any feedback would be good...
thanks
EDIT:
Does Esp have fast necks. On the 300 it says
Neck/Fingerboard: Mahogany/Rosewood
and the Frets: 24 xJ

I don't care about the neck much, its pretty big on the EC models and not that fast. build quality is pretty poor on low-end ltd's..
the 1000 series aren't bad, they come with decent pickups, but I'de rather get another model then the EC

I was going to replace the pickups with Emgs 81,85...
So its not a good idea to get the EC-300...
I was reading reviews about it, it dont seem that bad.

you played it yourself yet?
the ec1000 might be the better alternative if you're going to replace the pu's anyways. its a bit more expensive but it does have some other features, plus it looks way better. I'de rather get another series, like the mh or the vipers

Nope i havent played it, because i didnt see it at my local guitar store.
But ive look the EC-300 up and the EC-1000.
And the EC-300 has:Set neck/24.75"
Body:Mahogany
Pickups:EMG-hz- h1 set- which ill replace
2 volume, tone, 3 way toggle
Bridge: Tune-o-matic w/stop tailpiece
Frets:24XJ
Neck/Fingerboard: Mahogany/Rosewood
And then the EC-1000 :Set neck 24-3/4"
Mahogany neck
Rosewood fretboard
TonePros locking bridge
Body: Mahogany
Frets: 24
Neck Material 3 Piece Mahogany
Emgs 81.85.
I dont see that much of a difference. Im playing to upgrade most parts of it..
But im just not sure if its worth it...

EDIT: Do you guys think an ibanez 370dx would be better overall with EMGs, or a different model of an ibanez, or even a better ESP...
I just need a new guitar as soon as possible..
Or how about something like this

Good guitar for the money. If your just gonna replace the pickups with emg's then get the EC-400 it comes stocks with emg's and the earvana nut.
Kris Norris from Darkest Hour uses them as does one of the guitarist from Atreyu... so its not like its gonna fall apart.
Personally i fell in love with the guitar, has a great feeling neck (yes a neck, not a plank) nice woods, good fretwork. It played great and ive always wanted a Les Paul with 24 frets. Go play one and decide for yourself.

Yea, but i can save money, then buy me some EMGs. The guitar is not even much on ebay.
So like you said, its not a bad guitar after all?..

I wouldn't buy anything with "LTD" on it. Everyone who I've known to have one says its not good quality at all. Go for a Ran

I tried a soloist looking one at a pawn shop in Denver...unless your King V (or whatever rip off model it is ) is a different feel I stick to my original feeling.

are you absolutely positive that you cannot afford a EC-400? cause if you could, you wouldn't have to upgrade any of it, ever. Plus you'd get a reallyreallyreallygood guitar.
like BLS said, it comes with Earvana nut and EMG-81 set as standard. there's also the AT (archtop) model, with S-D JB/59 set. better cleans IMO, but EMGs would be my choice.
i'm not saying that the 300 is bad, cause it ain't, just make sure you get rid of the damn pups, the H1s are horrible IMO. nowadays ESP puts H4s, thank god! generally the Ltd ECs feel nice to me, and I'd recommend the 300 with 81/85 set over the RG. but that's just me. but again, they're very different. go play them, it's you're choice, not ours...

ESP-LTD guitar is exactly what you pay for, if that was my choice, I'd better bought ESP. And soon I'll do it (still it's rather hard to find my favourite Viper here in my country )
