My new axe
What do you think? 24 frets, Rhoads, original floyd, neck-thru. Its for christmas so I wont see it till then
I have heard that they are not that sturdy, but I take good care of my shit so I dont think it will be a problem.
Can active humbuckers be put in if the guitar has no cutout for the battery? Maybe if it is carved or something like that? Unless someone has a better suggestion in passive humbuckers? Duncan Jazz perhaps?

Yes active humbuckers can be put into that guitar, as long as their is enough room in the control cavity.
But you alreayd have Seymour Duncans in it... so no need to flop in poo poo doo doo.

Yea, I've heard that if you get good Seymour Duncans that they are the best. Like the ones in the Y2KV's.

Given all the features I mentioned up above, what is the catch? Why was it so inexpensive? Because of the chip? Man, I am just a bottomless pit of questions...

A Damn good deal though, that Floyd routing is goofy though.. its not fully recessed.

Most likely.. ive never seen a routing like that.
Its recessed near the back of the tremolo unit but up by the studs it isent..
very strange.. also idiotic as i can not see one benifit of routing it like that.

Meh, I've seen worse chips. My local music store was trying to sell a KE3 for about $100 under retail, even though it had had the outer 20cm of the lower left (guitar facing you, neck up) horn broken off. That's what I call a bad "chip".

Ha, you look kinda like me, only my hair is slightly shorter.
Maybe if I adjust the tremelo so the back sits higher it will work or something like that. Needless to say I dont have it yet, but I will screw with it and take better pics of it after I get it.

That's just nuts. That guitar needs to be sold as parts only.

The pearly gates in the neck is awful, real muddy and barely usuable. Any suggestions for a replacement?
