I need a global direction to go to the store and tell the seller in wich 2 (or 3) compressors i´m looking for.

what exactly do you want your compressor to do? is it for your lead tone? or to clean up your cleans? or overall tone?.... basically how do you want it to affect your tone?

and no it isnt a noise gate... though alot of them like the behringer had built in gates.

The LEAD tone. A friend has an ALTO compressor at his sound is debastator. I think i need a noise gate too + equalizer. = $$$$

- Berhinger proxl mdx2600 (as i said)
-dbx 266 xl

Behrniger is cheaper so i think i´ll buy it. Berhringer are Good, aren´t they???

Behringer is not very good, at least not out of my experience.
