i think someone hear owns one.....

they don't suck to much balls at all... they can get pretty shrill and grainy if you don't eq them properly... on the lead channel use the gain sparingly because it's got alot of it and when you use to much it sounds very buzzy, i was content with the gain at like 3-4..
the cleans are alright too.
volume shouldnt be a problem at all.... just make sure your cab can handle it if you're going to be playing loud.

beat's the mode four, randall warhead, and a couple other of the BIG 300-350w s.s. amps imo.

thanks for the comments guys, I stopped at the local shop and tried one out today-hooked it up to a 1960a and let her rip-$700 later i was at home pissing off the neighbors. I play in a band that gigs regulary in the cleveland metal scene and have been trying to find my tone for some time now. I think , finally , I've seen the light. This amp was definately made for metal, best ss i've ever heard.

glad you're happy with it.... personally i like crate tone... it's less generic to the standard mesa/marshall/peavey fad....

tech 21 owns in s.s. though... hands down.

I hate most crates... Except a rare few. Alot of their SS stuff i cant stand. But hey, if you like it thats all that matters.
