Arsis.
I've been trying to find Arsis guitar tabs all over the www, but I haven't found any. I even emailed Jim Malone himself asking for them, but he never responded. They have three songs for download over at www.worshipdepraved.com .
I'm mainly interested in "Maddening Disdain" and "Seven Whispers Fell Silent", but any bunch of riffs from any song will make me happy.

hey everyone, first time on these boards
I second the request for Arsis tabs. It'd be very nice if you could tab some stuff out Dimejandro and anyone else. I'm mainly lookin for Maddening Disdain, The Face of My Innocence, and Wholly Night, but like Soeru said, any riffage I could get from this amazing band would be excellent. Thanks!

Dimenjaro emailed this to me a few weeks ago, he hasn't added it to the site yet. Well here it is, all credit goes to Dimenjaro.

I've seen them live quite a few times and know all the guys in the band. Many of their songs are tuned in drop C or standard D. Those are the only tunings I've seen them use. That opening to Face of my Innocence Jim taps

It must kick ass to be you.
I'm familiar with standard D, but drop C? That is not having all the strings two steps down, like standard C is it?

If you tuned in standard D, drop your 6th string one step. You are then in dropped C. Shadows Fall uses this tuning on their new album also along with many new bands. I don't live where they're at anymore, I just moved but they were really cool to see live. As awesome as they are, you wouldn't believe some of the shitholes they play in.

It's been like a year, lol. Yeah, that song is like 13 minutes long. Awesome.
Another song I'd like to see tabbed is "Maddening Disdain" and "Seven Whispers Fell Silent", but anything by Arsis will give me a boner hard beyond human comprehension. Thanks a lot.

Well, there you have it, the face of my innoncence *complete* tab, by me.
http://metaltabs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25136
For the intro riff I ignored my other tab completely so that I wasn't "biased" by it. So after looking at some arsis live pics from different sources and being tipped off that the intro riff is tapped, I ended up with a tapped riff intro tab. I beleive it is 100% accurate. After that I took a ganders at my older tab and did a TON of corrections and well, this new tab is complete. I've got a splitting headache after tabbing this out so I hope you guys enjoy it :P.

Wow thanks a lot dude, can't wait to sit down and give it a shot. I've improved a lot since then so I think I'm ready to take on this song. Speaking of Arsis, today I figured out 4 or 5 riffs from "Maddening Disdain", I know for sure they're accurate because I played them above the actual song. However it seemed to me that this song was in Standard D not Drop C like "Face of My Innocence", otherwise you'd have to transpose the chords and palm muted triplets like a madman. Maybe they used more than one tuning on the album?

yeah actually they do use different tunings on some songs of the album. I believe the only tunings they use on Guilt is D and Dropped C, as you mentioned. So yeah, I guess its most probable that maddening is on Standard D.

I've pimped them for the longest time... one of the first DM bands I got into. I haven't blasted them as often up until recently, been listening to them a lot now once again, and not just the new EP they have out. They deserve more recognition than the assload of metalbore bands they have to open up for...

I want to see Return, The Promise of Never, Maddening Disdain, White Rose on white lace and A diamond for disease tabbed. However, I posted the intro to Return on the Arsis messageboard awhile back.

Whoa slow down there... Diamond for Disease was just released lol. And it's basically 13 minutes of shredding, so I don't think we'll be seeing a tab for that in a while. The Promise of Never is actually a re-recording of Fortune's Envy, an old demo track btw. They changed the lyrics for some odd reason...
If you want Roses on White Lace, look for the tab of the original Alice Cooper song.
Yeah, Dimenjaro is working on Maddening Disdain. I had a few riffs down but oh well... that new GP tab in the pending tabs forum from someone else is very accurate, but I need to compare it to Dimenjaro's, who's I haven't looked at a lot yet.

I was gonna say, I tabbed out most of Maddening Disdain by myself, but I haven't written out tab in forever. And maybe when I do I can post it in the incomplete tabs section. I have most of Return done and parts of other songs.
And as for Face of My Innocence, I'm pretty sure from watching the video of it on their website that he taps in the first riff. I've actually figured that out and I'll post the tapped version soonish.
AND and I'm no good with powertab or guitar pro, so when I tab something out, anyone that can do that feel free to make what you can of it.
Love,
Shaun.

Maddeing Disdain Tab (Incomplete)
Posted in the SMNnews Arsis Forum as well.
I noticed a suprising lack of Arsis tabs and the ones I found on mysongbook for guitar pro were quite wrong. This is what I came up with after an hour or so of jamming on Maddening Disdain. Its basically a compilation of the various riffs I could figure out. In the coming months I may figure the rest out. If I ever complete it, I'll post it somewhere on the net. If you want to use this to complete your own tab of the song, give me credit where do, I guess. I wrote this up in powertab, so if you'd like it in that format, it should be attatched. The tab itself is incomplete and in no way do I deem it to be exact, but its better than the guitar pro file thats out there, so hopefully it helps.
