Yep video game music metal style is awesome.
And whenever I play acoustic its not metal. Just random stuff that if played on a distorted electric guitar probably would be considered as metal.

i play mostly some classic rock tunes when not playing metal.. also some straight blues. only other thing i mess with are the goofy grunge/alterna tunes i picked up when i played in a cover band many years ago

Sometimes I'll play some classical but usually it's still with a distorted guitar and converted into a death metal stylee. I rarely play songs at all - probably about 4 or 5 songs per practise session - and most of my time is spent improvising or tabbing.
