Speed picking with power chords / chords
I can speed pick quite fast (dunno if it's really called speed picking but it's like alternate just changing bits to suit you best) but I always seem to mess up when adding in chords and power chords. Any tips on how to improve this? I always seem to be in the rhythm for one string and cant play 2 or more with the same efficiency.

Give us a clearer idea of what you mean. If you just mean you can't trem or chug as well on two strings as on one, well, there seems to be a saying around here for you: practice, practice, practice. Isolate and slow down the parts that give you difficulty and practice bringing them up to speed. Or give me a more specific example and I can give you more specific advice.

Oh. Basically that just requires a lot of practice. I can't think of something other than 'Keep at it' to make that any easier. It will come - it had better, since it's the basis of a lot of metal songs - but you've just got to keep at it and focus on pick the strings cleanly. You can do this while you practice.

That's a very good idea. Speed is cool, but sloppy speed is just ugly. Don't play faster than the fastest you can do *cleanly*. When you start being inaccurate, you're going too fast.

It would be really hard to pick for master of puppets alternately, because since you switch between the E and the A quickly your pick won't have enough time to get to the other note.
