Really, so if i had an ESP whichever with EMGs 81\85 and an ibanez 370dx with EMGs 81\85 they would sound the same.

Basically they would. If you're distorting the sound, it'll pretty much sound all the same, the big difference lies in your pickups. But if you're playing clean, the type of guitar and wood used will make it's own unique sound.

ofcourse the body and construction matters too, for instance, a neck thru mahogany guitar will have way more sustain then a basswood guitar with a bolt on maple neck.
So basically, the guitar will have loads more sustain/tone with the exact same pickups. this goes for distortion too, but the difference is best heard when played clean, like Memnoch said.
An RG with emg's sounds kinda thin IMO, a les paul with EMG's sounds fat. it's also a matter of body thickness and all. like a ibanez S, they're really thing, they sound crap with emg's but pretty allright with passive pickups! (just check out unearth for that)

So i would get a nice metal sound of out either with EMGs. Thats all i want, a nice metal clean sound.I dont want to thick of a sound neither to thin, and something that sounds good when palm muted. So idk if the ibanez would do.

RG's sound pretty good with EMG's. I went through a series of duncan't till I finally settled on EMG's. I used to play in real low tunings all the time though, so the articulation would start to suffer....but the tone would definitely have some balls on say.....basswood body and bolt on neck(forgot the wood of the neck though)

More than likely a maple neck I would guess. Most bolt-on neck are made of maple for strength.

Not that bad of a guitar, too bad is has bolt-on neck. Plus you might want to play a guitar with an EMG 85 in the bridge before you pay for that guitar....cus that guitar is def. not worth 900.

ofcourse its a bolt-on, 90% of all RG's are bolt on, only the really new RGT's have neck thru's....
if it's worth 900, I don't think so, but ofcourse thats just a sell-trick. EMG's are 100 bucks a piece for humbuckers here and about 70 for the single coil, plus theres the EMG afterburner and expander, together worth about 150-200 here. so that's allready 470 for the pickup set here if you count installation with it. So I guess if you can get it for 500-700 in the end, it's a steal

If I were to throw down 900 for a guitar, i would have to be a badass ESP, LTD, or Jackson...or something of that variant. I paid 900 for my ESP Stephen Carpenter, and that guitar is fucking awesome!!!! That Ibanez may be cool and all, but you could most def. get something better.

HOLY FUCK'IN POST WHORE 8 post in a row! That has got to be a record.
And yes, I like the guitar but you might want to change the Pick-ups and have it set-up as I suspect that it will need it.

More than %30 of the posts in this thread are from Satans Obituary, it turned from an EMG/Guitar discussion thread into this guys "please help me , I dont know how to use a forum and im a fucking idiot" thread. Someone should do something.
To be more on topic, I would get a ESP ltd with a nice neck and replace the EMG HZ pickups with a set of 81/85 or 81/60s, this is what im doing to my ESP ltd M200FM, its a neck-thru and plays like a dream.

Fisrt off, this is the GUITAR FORUMS. Secondly, this thread was created to ask the question of whether the sound is much different between guitars with the same EMG pickups, and what sound you will get when using this setup. You have turned it into a thread of you asking 6 different questions that were totally off topic.
Congrats on making yet ANOTHER useless post to this thread.
On topic once again, If you do go for an ESP ltd I personally would suggest going for the higher models that come pre-equipped with EMG actives (i think they all come with dual 81s, and you can just switch one out for something else) and using a different bridge then the licensed floyds ESP uses. I have found floyds to be a pain in the ass. Also, with the ESP ltds that already have the EMG actives, im pretty sure they have their own battery compartment, which is kind of nice.

I got mine on ebay. New condition, hardshell case, AKG Wireless Bug System, 3 packs of any strings, strap, right angle cable, all for $510 and he payed for shipping. That was over a $900 value. Super deal if you ask me.
I might sell the wireless bug system, im still not sure.
