On Hammerfall's One Crimson Night DVD, Stefan Elmgren uses what looks like an X2N in the bridge. Oscar Dronjak uses EMG's, but his sound is thinner.

No, they're EMG's. I saw the logo. Probably HZ's.

power metal? Maybe a duncan full shred would do you good? I like those pickups in the bridge position, they pretty full and crisp yet powerful.

I haven't used one myself. But if Hammerfall use them.. then yes.
Wojtek Lisicki of Lost Horizon uses a Duncan Trembucker in his stage guitar (Washburn WG 580 USA design), and Ibanez USA F2 pickups in his Strat for studio use.

those Ibanez F2 pickups are made by dimarzio and are a replica of the dimarzio tone zone.
I have them too in my RG, love em, they're not all too heavy if you don't want them to be, but they have great tone. check em out!
