Best Custom Shop?
I wanna see all your opinions on who you think has the best custom shop, I didnt put ran or any other smaller custom shops only cause I wanted to see how you felt about the big guitar companies. Ive heard that ESP is the best, (i think the one in japan) but i really have no idea.

dude, this poll is useless. nobody here has played all their customs.
hell probably nobody even played an Ibanez custom.
I think soul had an ESP though.
the Gibson 'customs' are not customs, but you can get them custom build I think. I played a custom coppertop and it was pretty shit. not in tone but in playability IMO.
played an ESP custom too, based on a viper. was pretty good, but not my kinda neck either.
Jackson.. eh, I played a US custom shop dinky with blue-crackle finish. it had some seymour duncan in it that made it sound awfully thin. but it had a kinman single coil in the neck, that ruled.
So... even I can't tell since I haven't played ibanez customs (except for my SR5 limited edition prestige factory custom )

Well all i really wanted to try and find out was the differance between ESP and Jackson customs, i just put those other choices in there to give people more choice. Im just wondering why evryone likes esp customs so much, or atleast there custom shop.

the difference? well its a custom shop, so you can everything done your own way, on both brands... only the difference is the base where you start from, like a jackson custom would probably start of with a jackson custom.
but it doesn't have to, you can get a different body too if you just pay enough...
I have no idea whatsoever about the quality, both esp and jackson customs played really smooth and looked solid.

lol yea, thanks.
I got that whole less-than-5-posts-before-i-was-flamed-away thing from another post, i forget who it was and what we were talking about, but that statment is very true in metaltabs half the people here have less than 5 posts or atleast around, and flaming is a large contribution of that.

I had a Jackson custom KV-1 and it was a very clean guitar. Everything was done perfect; much like real ESP guitars. Both Jackson and ESP match in quality, but I just like the feel of Jackson better. As for B.C. Rich custom shop guitars... I have naver played one but they do look nice. To bad that most stock B.C. Rich suck. I have an Ibanez that was customized second hand by the Soulinsane custom shop, and let me tell you it's not bad. Nothing super but a very functional work guitar.
From the above my vote goes to Jackson, but imo Ran guitars has the better custom shop of all of them. Everyone knows why too.

Yes, I wish I still had it. It was new and cost just about $3,000 but the only thing really different from a nornal KV-1 was the frets. The KV-1 had these medium size kinda squarish at the top frets that Dave Mustaine likes, but I wanted something more like a normal Jackson; like 6100 size fret wire. Had to fucking wait a year for it too I had to sell it to cover rent, thinking I would get it back but that never happened. It's gone forever
