Yea its really hard to find a good RR thats cheap these days, most RR's are either custom or really shitty or really expensive IE - ESP SV and the higher quality jackson RR's.

I don't know about the exchange rates, you can get the current rates from the Bank of England or maybe even your local bank of choice. Besides, sterling prices don't matter, because (unless you have some crazy import taxes, tolls or something) you can most likely buy a guitar cheaper from USA and ship it to the UK than buy from a UK store. I've read plenty of British music magazines, and the prices over there are much higher than in USA.

There are ways to keep e-bay honest. Most people on there are actually honest, anyway; if people were ripped off more often than not the site would quickly lose its appeal. It's been a while since I've used it, but most sellers have a rating that should assure you of their fidelity. It's pointless to refuse yourself such a valuable resource because you're a little nervous about it. And if you win the auction, you can probably arrange to meet the owner and see it for yourself before you actually pay, if you want to go to the trouble of travelling. You'd likely have to anyway if you really want the guitar and can't find it in your area.
