New amp

Need new amp soon. I was thinking between Laney GH100L or maybe a two-channel like 5150II or VH100R. I play Melodic Death Metal with lots of clean parts. Do I really need a two channel amp?

welll seemin that you play death metal and play quite a lot of clean stuff, it would be on obvious choice to get two channels or more.

you kinda just answered your own question.

personally i'd look into a mesa recto 3 channel head of some sort too....my guitarist just decided to put his 5150 up for sale after he jammed on a single recto for an hour or so.... though he wants the triple because it's 150w(we play so loud he dimes his 120w 5150 pushing two 4x12's ). i'm trying to convince him to go with the dual.... but it's all gravy.
the recto has a much better clean sound to it, i still dig the gritty cleans the 5150 gives but he wants more flexibility and usable gain. so the recto is his choice.

the 5150 II i find to be more flexible than the 5150.... but some like the tone of the 5150 better.

not a huge laney guy so i can't comment on that...

New amp

Well the reason I ask is that I don't have an endless supply of money or time. I'm about to graduate college and head to grad school. I want to get the best amp possible but I can't spend too much. I still have to buy a small pa to practice vocals.

Samad can not sing either. 1 reason might be because he is always stoned

True a 1960A cab kicks ass, but you're running a randal combo through it. So why don't you get a REAL setup before you decide to gloat.
P.S. Quit getting so jealous since I'm the lead guitarist
