Summarize Advanced Guitar....
I'm making a nice organized 2.5" binder with all the material to study for learning advanced guitar. If you had to summarize it into 4 - 5 major categories, what would you call em, and a summary of the contents. I'm kinda confused on all the aspects I should be studying. I'd believe there'd be like a scales section, maybe some type of chord progression, any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Dave

This is very general it really depends on how much you wish to learn, but considering youll probably just use this until you fell comfortable with guitar i would suggest:
1. Scales/Modes
2. Techniques
3. Exercises
4. Maybe tabs?

I don't know what advanced guitar is to you but I see it this way:
1 - Jazz/blues theory (you can get pretty far and still learn new things everyday in that domain)
2 - Shredding aspect (speed exercises)
Everything else must fall in one of these categories.

I got a vauge understanding on basic theory. I'm trying to direct my attention on chord scales and how to pull out chords to play, triads, modes, phrasing techniques, soloing techniqes. I know most of this is prob redundant, that's why I'm wanting some general categories for playing any style of advanced guitar music and techniques.

Well, even if you had a large amount of theory under your belt there is still no simple solution for virtuosity in all areas of guitar. You must still study diffrent forms of music, in which case each would have its own catagorey packed with information. This binder may be a failed plan.
