Question need amp head cant hear me over drummer

i have a marshall avt 275 combo.i figure i could get about 650$ for it.
i need more power to hear myself over my drummer, especially in the garage.what is a good powerful amp head within that price range.im looking for a good high gain distortion an a good clean too.i figure a good mesa w/e 50.i cant remember its got 3 channels.clean regualr drive and a pushed more modern tone drive.its only 50 watts but its all tube whereas my marshall is 150 but solid state.i already have a 4x12 speaker cabinet with custom eminence speakers for free from my dad.all i need is the head.oh and how much do you think a mid 70's fender bassman 70 is worth

DefEdit : use the standard size you fucking prick!

Use the default font and font size, please. It's fully readable on everyone's monitor, AFAIK, and if it's not, it's up to whoever has the problem, to fix it.

About what dislexic said in your other post. I don't agree that scooped distortion sounds muddy. I think it sounds really nicely defined in the bottom end. However, it really ruins your chances of being heard, and it sounds rather strange, so turn your mids up.

[edit]
Aww!!! what a dissappointment. I saw the font being normal, and I saw that the post had been edited. I was so happy. A noob who listens, and on top of that uses the edit button. Then I saw that it was all Def's work.

the majority of amps and pedals out there sound very muddy and shitty with no mids.... trust me, i've played alot of amps and pedals... some handle scooping pretty well, like my buddy's jcm 900 head i'm barrowing for example, i have the mids literally at zero(with everything else dimed except the reverb)... but it's an old tube marshall and they're sooo midrangey no matter what you do. my old mesa vtwin rack preamp was the same way, i'd set my mids to 0 and they'd still be enough to cut through.

the avts however, do not sound good with scooped mids imo. no tone...
and no matter what, scooped mids will not cut in a live mix. recording is a totally different situation.

Mids are the fuckin' shit. Without them i don't get the same "jump-out-of-the-speaker-and-bite-your-ass-sound". When i scoop my mids it just feels like theres something lacking you know, like theres an empty space in the speaker that needs to be filled, turn up the mids yo.
