String guages

I know this is a silly question, but I am getting a new guitar soon, and I am going to set it up for drop-C tuning...only thing is I haven't played that tuning in years, and I forgot what string guages are best

I bet the biggest set you can find would work best. GHS ZW drop tuning boomers might work good. I read another thread on strings here that those fuckers were like 13-70 or something crazy like that. Great for crazy low tuning.

I know what you'er talking about. Zakk uses 10-60 for standard and drop-c...and 10-70 for drop B.....A....G.......whichever tuning he feels like using....I might just use the 10-60's

Give them a shot. You can always change them later if you want to try something new.

I use those everly X rockers made for C#. The gauge is 12-16-22p-38-48-60. They should work for Drop C.

Hey thats your opinion. Some people like their strings floppy while other people like them tight.

similar, but slightly different

standard- 10-46
Eb - 10.5-48
D/drop C - 11-50/52
Db - 11-52
C - 12-54
B - 13-56

i actually sat down one day and figured out what would work the best for each tuning if i wanted a similar feeling as 10's in standard tuning
