I became a member a while ago but post sporadically. Am i crazy or are forum leaders a new emergance because i only remember their use to being mods. And also how are forum leaders and mods chosen.

Forum leaders are mods. They used to be called mods but they changed it to leaders.

As I have said so many fucking times, mods are chosen when there is a vacancy on a particular section of the forum, it is becoming busier, he has implemented a new forum, etcetera. Various reasons, really. Nomad will choose you if he thinks you are up for it, and won't fuck around. You don't have to "do" anything, and begging will not get you anywhere, perhaps even further away from the moderator status - as we have seen time & time again.
