What is the best guitar processor i can get for about 250$

do you mean a preamp? or multi fx unit? or preamp + multi fx unit in one? or something completely different?

i'll sell you a digitech valve fx rack pre/fx unit for $150....
i have a marshall jmp-1 i'd sell you but it's more than what you have...
an ada mp-1 preamp can be had for well under $250...

it's great.... especially for metal and shred stuff... alot of metallica recordings were with mp-1s... not that i like metallica but they're a credible band that has and still does occasionally use them.
as well as def tones(he uses one side by side with a jmp-1)

it's very similar to the marshall jmp-1 in layout and sound but with a slightly more recto/boogie - ish tone.... the cleans are great too...

i see them on ebay all the time ending for like $100-$200 and these things are a tech's dream for modding... it's like they were built with mods in mind. i think they sound good stock too.

voodoo labs sells premodded ones for cheaper than it would be to buy one stock and get it modded... which is kinda nice.

you neeed my valve fx, it will rip that to shreds.... plus it'll be mucho cheaper.... then all you'd need is a little midi controller or the matching digitech one...
i've yet to play a digitech pedal i loved... yet i've played several digitech rack units that actually kick ass considering what they are.
