i've never had lessons. i wish i had. it woulda helped me a lot. instead of learnign everythign on you own u'll have someone who's been there to atually go step by step with you. just make sure u find a good teacher.

shit i wish i took lessons, ive been playin almost five years, and i dont know nearly as much as i would have if i took lessons. so go for it.

i used to get guitar lessons, i just used them to point me in the right direction and then quit after a couple of weeks. Their well worth it though

I had a teacher too. But its important to have aproximately only one teach a week. The teacher is the person who helps you teaching how you should (or must) play and what to do to play like that. But is more important practicing at home and learning "your own" technique.
I´m a teacher and and i know what i say ( or what i want to say, but my crap english is the wall i´ve got)
