Who has the best idea about some new pick-ups?
Got a really old charvel I'm doing work on. Need new pick-ups, but have no idea what to put in there. Something heavy, preferably not actives. Maybe Seymour Duncans...
I have a humbucker and two single coils. What do you guys think? What are some really good sounding heavy pick-ups? I was thinking of the dimebucker, but I haven't heard very good things about them. And I'm not going the EMG route.

I like the EMG 81/85's, but I'm not a huge fan of actives because I do a lot of different technical stuff. Just want something that will be pretty good with some crushing metal. My rack set-up makes any guitar sound good. I really like a lot of the PRS pick-ups. I have a '96 PRS with dragon 1's in it and they sound pretty damn good. But I need to single coils on the top. Thinking about getting some double stacked. But I don't really know much about pick-ups. I've always been happy with what came in my guitars (but these are high end guitars).
I guess I'm just looking for some good pick-ups for some heavy duty metal (killswitch engage, death, pantera...) with some really technical lead stuff (tony macalpine, jason becker...)

dimarzio evolutions pu's are pretty good..... tonezones, supr distortion, x2n, ect.
duncans are go too, the invader, and jb, 59, ect...

I didnt do it because that. The name was pretty gay anyways. I dont like Dimmu that much so there really was no point in keeping the name. But dissection did pizzown my ass. |
