bands like Dying Fetus(?)
I was wondering wich band sounds "similar" to Dying Fetus, a friend said that "Gorgasm" and "Krisiun" are like D.F, but i don´t think krisiun is like that & i don´t know what think of buying a Gorgasm CD. Which bands do you think are like Dying Fetus????

I'm not sure about bands that are like Dying Fetus but this Vital Remains band is TOTALLY ripping off Deicides vocals

i wouldnt say they sound similar because misery index sounds like a grindcore band IMO.Misery index doesnt have a singer that growls,Misery index doesnt have many solos like dying fetus.Jason netherton is screaming a lot more than he did in dying fetus...But they are a pretty good band.

I also agree with everyone that mention Misery Index, they are the closest I have ever heard to Dying Fetus. Dying Fetus is also similar to Suffocation, but they sound very distinctly different. It's a bit odd to explain, there aren't a lot of bands that can be categorized as brutal technical death/hardcore. Misery Index don't seem to have as much of a hardcore influence as DF, but it is there. All three are great bands. Decapitation sound a lot like Misery Index, but not so much as Dying Fetus. I do think it's safe to say if you like Dying Fetus you'll probably like Decapitation. Another band you might like is Pestilence, but they don't sound much like any of the bands I've already mentioned. More off-speed stuff.

I think if you like Dying Fetus you should like Despised Icon.
"Terminally your aborted ghost" has also both the low and hardcore vocals, and Fetus-esque leads. But DF is better. |
