Reasons why I dont consider Slipknot nu metal
guitar solos - nu metal bands dont have solos, im told the new slipknot album has solos
db pedal - theyre drummer annoys the fuck out of me, and he overcrowds songs not even trying to keep beat, but he does use double bass pedal.
they arent like all the other nu metal bands - to me all nu metal bands are the same, angry young men who like to sing about their adolescence, but slipknot are just penises who wear masks.
barrel hitter - barrel hitting isnt nu metal, nor is it good.
they have nu metal aspects, but so do some thrash, metalcore, black, even death bands.
not that i like them or anything, just makes me think when people jump to conclusion that theyre nu metal when they so obviously are just some form of other crappy wannabe metal.
