22$ AUD for a set of Vic Firth 5B. I'm willing to get sticks that are better than mine for free or atleast way below their cost, because I like my current sticks.

^^ yeah unbranded sticks are usually pretty shitty. they're never the same weight...sometimes they're warped...but if you can dig through the bin of them and find a decent set, you can probably save a few bucks and not ose too much quality.

$22 aus on a pair of vic firth america classic nylon tip metal drumsticks. there 17 inch and .635 diameter, i play metal myself but a lot of punks drummers had a go of them at a show my band did and they were screwing stuff up cause there used to shorter light sticks, but i've been using larger sticks since i started being that my first sticks were american classic 2bn so im used to them by now.

22 bucks!!, do ya'll have high inflation or no trees in australia? arent there local stick brands where you are that are cheaper? i spent 35$ on a pair of aheads and felt the fresh sting of fire in my empty pockets, but thats an aluminum and plastic stick reputed to last a long time. id never pay that amount on one pair, shit man, id save up and buy a fuggin wood lathe, a chop saw and 2x4s and BE the local drumstick company if i were you.
please tell me thats just a price due to inflation, you guys are being robbed

i have no idea why the price is so high, that was the cheapest i could find them, it could be because could no one gets those sticks so i had to order them in, there are some local stick brands that are pretty cheap but i've broken most of those i use

I usually spend about six to seven dollars on Vic Firth 5bs. They're pretty much all you need.
