Feedback On A BEHRINGER V-AMP.
Ok, so I went to the local music store today, and I saw one of these, I had no time to try it out, but I'm going to after work tomorrow, and I want some feedback from you all. The closest thing I've used in the past that is "some what" the same this is the Line6 POD, so try and relate it between the two.
All I want is feedback on the V-Amp, Thanks!

i personally think the v-amp 2 is pretty bad. its good good features yeah, but, when changing patchs theres an annoting half second silence, so its really no good for band use etc, good for sitting at home and playing tho. also, my memory battery went, so it never remembers any of my presets, and for some reason whenever i turn it on, it sticks its self into really wierd presets, which ive never seen before / not in the manual, which are normally really quiet clean with auto-wah which u cant change. o well, try it out before u buy it tho

Hey Bud
I've got both the VAMP Pro and the Line 6 POD 2.0. I find that the presets on the VAMP are more suited to my tastes than the POD. I find that I can get better sounds from the VAMP than the POD too - again, according to my tastes. I rarely jump between presets during a song, and therefore the delay is not an issue with me. There is a Yahoo VAMP group that I read every now and again, and there are many 'fixes' for that problem. I don't use either for recording, just live playing, so the software is not an issue either. I find that the VAMP is the best value, as it was half the price of the POD. My advice would be to use both, and let your ears decide. In addition, I haven't had any of the problems that have plagued some users of the VAMP, such as losing presets. I have found mine to be totally reliable and a breeze to operate. I also find that the effects are a touch better on the VAMP. As I'm sure you'll hear, the manual isn't the greatest, but with a bit of time and patience, you should be able to figure out how to use it to its fullest. I believe the VAMP (not Pro model) comes with a two-switch controller too...
Hope this helps.

i personally prefer pre+multi fx unit setups... better sound and more flexibility. sometimes about the same cost.
