what the fuck is the deal with this bigsby things?
they look weird but also kind of cool, well some of them do, do they work somthing like a floyd or somthing?

word. those trems suck ass. no range and they make your guitar fucking heavy, useless piece of metal really.

they're kinda like a regular strat trem, crappy range and shitty tone if you use them, thats pretty much it

i actually like them... but i'm weird like that... but in no way are they like a floyd... if you want super whammy type stuuf like a floyd or khaler, get a floyd or khaler.... the bigsbys are more for twangy stuff like on tele's and semi hollow guitars... i just think they're fun. but to big and bulky, pretty heavy.... but at least there isnt any giant cavity for springs n' shit like a floyd.

they're not bad. you guys haven't used them, have you? it depends a lot on the condition of the trem.. if it's well-maintained and you have locking machine heads, it works very well. i think they have a nice nostalgic look to them, too. they're not ungodly heavy and they don't murder your tone. lots of people say floyds murder your tone (which i highly disagree with).. a bigsby isn't worse.

well, it might depend on which guitar you use them on, I've played a bigsby on two gibsons and IMO it was shit on both.

it was on a Gibson ES-335 Dot and a Gibson SG special (with P90's)

Both no bad guitars, but the bigsby just raped them.

Nice nostalgic look? well its whatever turns your clock, I only like their looks on old jazz boxes like the ES. and I don't think they work that well at all if you compare them to modern day trems like kahlers or floyds. they're like the dinosaur of tremolo arms
