Does anyone in here like; Zao, As I Lay Dying etc...?
Hey everyone, I'm sure most of you prob. hate these bands, but in fact I like them...
I think Zao is a great band, just because they're Christian everyone shouldn't hate them, and that goes along with other good Christian Metal bands like; As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean, Underoath, Haste the Day, the Agony Scene, Demon Hunter, and others... like Hope In Chaos, anyways, yeah I think these bands all rock, if you want to hear the best of all of them though, listen to Zao, anyways, just telling you guys' which bands I like most... alright...
P.S.: I was subscribed to this site like 2 years back as (HopeInChaos) I don't know if you guys' remember me, but I was 15 then, 17 now... alright, adios.

anyways, more to the point, I saw ZAO a fair 5 hours ago in the Goudvishal in Arnhem and they where not bad, but its the second time I've seen them, the first time was better.. I prefer their old stuff with the other vocalist.

I agree with Anubis on this comment. Most christian music (not necessarily christian metal) does suck because it sounds sappy and horribly orchestrated, but you shouldn't tune out a hard-working band just because of what they sing about. If the actual instrumentation sounds good, and its your kind of music, then it should be worth listening to, right? Just remember, you can have music without lyrics, but lyrics without music is pointless. |

i love those bands,im going to see zao live in a month,ive seen norma jean live(fucking kick ass) ,ive seen as i lay dying live (awesome),and ive underoath live (they were ok),ive seen haste the day live 3 times(they get better everytime) ,ive never seen the agony scene live but i want too,and ive seen demon hunter live (better than the cd but it still sucked)

I think Zao and Demon Hunter are pretty boring metalcore, but i dont give a shit whether a band is christian or not.
Extol is pretty cool though

Honestly my puncuation on a forum isn't really priority, thanx but I don't need an english lesson. You ask how I can be so contradictory well your reading this aren't you. I just was asking why is everyone so 'openminded' these days where the fuck are you going to get by not standing by what you belive in. As I Lay Dying and Norma Jean kick ass. I didn't know they were christian though. Demon Hunter are OK but most of what I heard makes me sick. I am religous, just not where I go to church. God is all around us, not in a building. The church is greedy.

something i've been noticing for quite a while now: is it just me or most metalcore bands sound exactly like At The Gates's "Slaughter Of The Soul"???
from the vocals to the guitar riffs... it's a scary similarity.
