Dude.. that beer video you posted nearly made me sick thinking about it... Reminds me of Havelocks challenge and why i hate taht game. I just simply can't drink that fast. It doesn't take too much of beer intake to make me want to puke. (at one small amount of time) Although the occasional chug is good shit. But i mean just drinking many sips over a short period of time, can really do me in.
But holy fuck.. imagine how DRUNK that fucking kid must have gotten about 15 minutes after he did that.. Damn. dude you would probably be fucking wasted off 6 beers.

I average about 8 in a 3 hour period. (getting drunk wise). I think the most i've ever drank in a "sitting" was probably 15 beers. But i haven't really drank all day. Me and my boy are planning on having a 48 hour drink fest. Hopefully its soon. Then.. hell maybe i'll drink 48 beers
speaking of which.. thats a good fucking idea! hahaha
The 48 challenge.
Most difficult challange i think i've come up with to date haha. We used to do the "25" challenge in weight training in high school. Well i u sed to give it out. Basically you had to do 25 reps of 25 plates on each side of the bar on the incline bench. There was only like 1 person who actually tried it every week, he got to 23 and couldn't finish. It was sad. (for him)

I recently found out that a local pub sells Keith's draught for $1.50 a pint! 
30 will cost $45..can't wait for this viking cheque. 
I really don't know how they do this...everywhere else it's at least $3.50-5. There is a $5 cover at this pub...but hell, what a deal.

honestly i'm not really sure i recall exactly. was over the summer. i just remember thinking it was really good. i'm gonna buy some first thing next time i'm out in texas its not a light beer..but its not as heavy as guinness for sure. maybe similar to yuengling black and tan/becks dark or something like that.
today i bought a 6 pack of some shipyard pumpkinhead. i was thinking it was just some seasonal beer and the pumpkinhead thing was just for halloween or something. well i was right..but i was wrong about the taste of the beer. it tastes like i'm drinking pumpkin!
as weird as this sounds, its alright. not great though...about as good as a beer that tastes like pumpkin could get. |

I drank for the first time in a long time a few weekends ago. It would have been better if my buddy and I didn't go cheap, but that's usually what we do. We went to the Publix and got a normal size bottle of very cheap sake. It was okay, the last sake I had was light years ahead in taste and smoothness, but after we came home from a friends house and I mixed it with some sweet tea, it was pretty decent, and I got pretty sloshed afterwards.
It may have been asked before, but does anybody have any sort of knowledge/experience with meads? I found three I want to try through beeradvocate, but I've never had it before, and I think I can only find the Christmas Mead locally. Anybody have any comments/advice/something?

i had some homemade mead this past summer. it was pretty good..but not my thing i guess. it tasted like sweet beer with chamagne. i could drink it, but would rather have a bottle of dark beer i've never tried any commercially made mead though.
i want to try some absinthe...the way it used to be..not the modern weaker version. |

Pumpkinhead is year-round.
You can't really get Fat Tire in the Eastern US. It only came to Chicago a little over half a year ago. If you came to Chicago, though, it would be very simple to hook it up.

yea i've never even heard of fat tire till i was in texas. never seen it down here in fl. i'd never seen the pumpkinhead before either..but when i was just in the beer store with good beers..they had that and some other pumpkin beers.
hmmm sounds pretty fucking nasty..maybe i don't want to try absinthe!
yea shit is expensive...not that expensive here..more like 7 or 8 bucks a 6 pack. but that is still pretty pricey. guess i'll try and avoid the fuggles flavor haha. i did see one beer at the same store...a dog fish head beer....its like 9 or 10 bucks a 12oz bottle!! i've yet to try it..but not sure if its even worth it.
man...i might have to hit up the store and try some more good beer...i was a little disappointed with my picks yesterday..and all this talk of beer is making me thirsty ha.

Czech absinthe is just really strong liquor with that licorice flavor; not really absinthe at all. French absinthe is real absinthe. The effects are, apparently, worlds apart, but I don't really know since I've only drank the Czech stuff.
I started drinking Fat Tire in Texas, but, like I said, it eventually got here.

Drinking Absinthe is a little fucked up...I found once you start drinking it, you get a weird, subtle "hallucinagated" high..and as you drink more of it..it just turns into a really sloppy drunk.
EDIT - the taste alone does not make you want to drink too much however! Christ! 151 is better than that shit.

I don't know...but in my personal experience, and I've been drunk quite a few times, I definitely noticed a difference..but it seemed moreso after a few drinks than over half the bottle.
I wouldn't say it's worth the money though.

When I had it the difference was that I noticed an almost nitrous-y high, but it didn't last long, and I didn't have a whole lot. I think the 68 Strong was quite palatable with water and sugar.

i use this same technique on my one cup i always drink (anything) out of ...but i have passed out drunk many times without washing the cup i was drinking from. i guess its still not too bad the next morning..but i dont know...i think i'll be sticking to bottles and cups |

Yeah that damn drunk i tell you. Ended up having to lie to a friend why i deleted her from my facebook, and had to readd her. Oh man, this weekend I'm buying some great Halifax micro-brew beer. Not quite sure exactly what I'm getting, but probably...
6 pack Propeller Honey Wheat Ale
650ml Propeller Extra Special Bitter
And then a cheap pitcher of Molson at a gig.
Garrison and Propeller are supposedly great micro breweries here locally, and I've barely tried any of their beer! 
Edit - Godamn..I've been reading beer reviews pretty much all night(it's 4:30am)
I'm having such a hard decision between the two brew companies mentioned.
Now I may go with Garrison Raspberry Wheat Ale 6 pack with a 650ml of Propeller London Style Porter?
Godamn, I need this viking shit to start..I NEED TO DRINK GODAMN.
BTW, has anyone tried beer from these companies? Probably not available out of America, but I'll ask anyways. Both make special sodas as well and they are DAMN good.

i've never heard of any either...i'd try the porter before that cranberry shit though. last cranberryish beer i had was some old style sam adams shit in these winter holidays variety 12 packs they've been selling lately.
tomorrow after depositing my check...i'm probably gonna pick up another handle of scotch...lately have been drinking j&b but will most likely be trying something new.

ehhh rasberry, cranberry, schazberry...its all the same regardless i think i'd still go with the porter. i'm thinking of picking up some beers on the way home myself..but kind bored with the choices at my usual store. they've been out of my default beer too for a while...yeungling black & tan. good shit, good price...can't beat that. well unless it was free... |
