I brewed 5 gallons of stout last night. We added a quater ounce of marijuana with the hops so it gets you high too. It looks blacker than night right now and smells amazing. A week from now it will be done.

I had two 22oz bomers today at practice. And man was it hot. Over 110 degrees in the jam space and humid as a swamp midget. One bottle of Downtown Brown and one of Imperial Stout. I sweat both of those beers out in about an hour. Now I'm sipping the same thing, a bomber of Downtown Brown, already drank the Imperial Stout. I have an IPA in the fridge too. That's my beer story for the day.

The stout I am currently brewing will taste horrid to most normal beer drinkers. It will be light like Orkney Dragonhead Stout but strange and unexpected. It will taste about as bad as Guinness does. Which isn't that bad, but imo Guiness sucks.

i used to have a problem with exaggeration....makes for a more interesting story that way. that is, until your friends see through the bullshit. i cut back on that stuff quite a bit, and actually have started to understate, so whenever i wanna make somethin sound extreme, it does. i find this to be a much more effective tool.

Actually was saying 32oz. because I always bought the four-pack of 16oz. cans and drank two about 90% of the time. Furthermore, at least this area of south Florida (Palm Beach County) hasn't a 40 in sight. 24 at most. I've never seen or heard of a 32oz can or bottle of Steel Reserve, I've only seen 16oz cans and 24oz cans. Looking back I was pretty desperate to intentionally drink that shit. It's buck nasty (like I may have mentioned, a pack of M&Ms helps out immensely), the buzz is very dirty, and you feel stupid the next day. Not my cup of tea.



To my knowledge, a mind eraser is Kahlúa, Vodka (That makes a black russian if you stop there), and a splash of soda. Very chuggable from what I've heard, it never really appealed to me, though I like black and white russians. Something about the splash of soda I guess doesn't sit well with me.

But then again I hardly ever drink anymore, and I'm as picky as the booze selection allows (I never go to clubs anymore, I like personal parties/gatherings).



Are you a fan of mountain dew and vodka? The mountain dew takes a significant amount of the edge off the vodka, even when mixed very poorly. Very chuggable, and very easy to go way over your limit or at least get blitzed in record time. It didn't sound that great until I tried it. Never tried with code red, though iirc code red has more sugar (or at least is seems that way), and most people are averse to that. I'm getting to the point where if I'm really gonna drink I'm going to avoid really sweet and/or creamy drinks. They never really bothered me before, but I guess I took advantage of it, so no longer.

If I do drink and ingredients are available, I'll always stick with:
Jägerbombs
Vodka and Mountain Dew
and the occasional Liquid Cocaine (or according to wiki, the recipe I use is considered "Liquid Crack". Whatever.) if I'm in a hurry or I'm leaving soon and haven't gotten tipsy enough yet.

I'll drink other stuff, but whenever possible those take precedence. And I hate tequila unless it's in a margarita.

Well you would have been fine if you hadn't drank a whole bottle of wine. Half of one is just fine to not incapacitate you, and enable you to have a great time. But then again, I'm little else than a social drinker anymore.

I think everybody with chemical issues and even some psychological ones (there's a common occurrence of both of course) should attend a meeting or, just to see what it's all about. Ignoring the blatant religiousness of the organizations, it's easy enough to disregard or deal with it much better by just hearing some of the religious banter as however you would get the same concepts across. I've been, and it's not for me, but growing up around addiction, having a hereditary addictive personality, and being bipolar amongst other things, I could at least identify with all the concepts that tie addicts together, and the thought processes they go through in the midst of addiction. Not to say it would never do anything for me. I've had a couple addictions, though they were uncommon: one was a person (thank the gods I'm not able to put myself in that situation anymore, it still affects me after two years of excommunication and silence), and the other being music (that'll never end). Only the former has ever really been detrimental, and I'm hoping that a good experience with LSD will help me come to terms finally with the whole thing and ensure that I leave it behind and not let it affect me as I'm trying to build my future. Note: I take the 50s-60s approach to hallucinogenics, LSD in particular. Gaining knowledge and insight about yourself and the world around you that you can't get any other way and accepting it, both good and bad, is very healthy for psychological growth, and for some the psychotherapeutic benefits are undeniable. Anyways the music addiction (and that's essentially what it is) never really affects me negatively, aside from eliminating a lot of the possibility to appreciate other things at a level the intellectual metalheads do like art, film, philosophy, politics, history, those kinds of things. Basically, unless I can tie one of those things into music, I pay virtually no attention to it. But a couple meetings can be a very organic way to gain perspective on addiction and apply it to yourself in some fashion. When I transfer to the university I want to go to, if I can't find a support group that's worth anything (I hate one-on-one, group usually does more for me. Haven't been to my group in a long time, which is a group only open to former patients of the psych ward I spent a week in), I might check out a few different meetings, and might find something that works on a psychological level.

Anyways, booze has really fallen out of my favor. As I mentioned before, parties/gatherings of 15+ people is one thing, but just getting together with a couple buddies and just getting drunk is just pointless for me anymore. I don't have anything against it, I'm not going to dismiss somebody if they enjoy drinking and I'm not, I'm much more respectful than that (unless idiocy is being presented of course). I'm good right now though, a little amphetamine/caffeine/nicotine combo is just... muah!! From my perspective, I don't see how anyone I cross paths with (until I start crashing) could feel better than me. I feel great and get a lot out of life sober though, so long as I feel I'm learning something and have plenty of music, and when I do do this, it's usually once a week, and I'm only peaking for 16-18 hours. So it's not as if I'm up for three days straight never wanting to come down and getting paranoid delusional psychosis. Not even close. Still, I feel great, and when I'm on this stuff, I overachieve like nobody's bussiness.

I think that's it. If I let go and get carried away with the flow here I might be attempting a novel!
