What a combination, it sounds like "Prince and the Pauper". LAWL.
edit - I just picked up the last xmas Chimay gift set within about 40km.
$12cdn for three 330ml Chimay bottles and a sweet glass! It was marked down like 6-7 bucks. I realized the Chimay Premiere(dubbel) I had before was best before the end of 2006(had it in early 2007. lol..)..and the one I just got is Best Before 2010...so I drank a 4-5 year old beer without evening knowing it! Again, I kinda forgot what it tasted like because I was loaded, but it still was delicious.

got a few beers today..being friday and all.
chimay ale tripel
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8535.jpg
fucking delicious! i had never seen this one at the store..i guess they just got it..but i'll probably pick up another one or two before they run out.
kasteelbier bruin-brune quadrupel
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/212/1711
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8544.jpg
11% and smells and tastes like it. i am honestly not enjoying this one. its not horrible..but honestly, i'd pick something else if i had some options that were all free...well unless the other choices were shitweiser and company. expensive, and not something i like. last one i'll have until my tastes in beers have a decent shift. nowhere near as good as the last beer i had from the Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck N.V brewing co. i copied and pasted their name ha. edit..honestly while drinking this..i can't stop thinking of the beer i got with that beer making kit. the guy i got it from made the beer..the flavor is very similar..though didn't taste as carbonated or alcoholic. not even sure what style of beer his was though...could've just been old..thus the lack of carbonation.
sterkens dubbel ale http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/183/627
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8542.jpg
much better than the previous one. though not quite the same style. good, but not as good as i had hoped..i'm gonna try their white ale though.
lastly, i bought a 6 of great divide denver pale ale (dpa it says on the side..my roommate quickly renamed it double penetration ale)
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/159
no picture..but its good stuff. tastes like a less hoppy ipa. delicious.
edit..ha i didn't even see your post bassb. i just got that chimay white tonight. did you get a pack with all those bigger bottles? so far i have just seen white and blue..but only smaller bottles 11.2 fl oz

I'm super happy. My local grocery store just started selling 6 packs of Samuel Adams Black Lager......HOLLA!
Anyways, I got one of those and another fuller's london style porter + a samuel smith taddy porter, split 2 ways. I'm not drunk, but pleasantly buzzed. There are a couple keggers tonight, but I'm forced to be a lame ass cause i got work at 8 in the morning tomorrow. FUCK........oh well.

hell yea! my usual grocery store just starting carrying flying dog beers. i picked up a variety 12 pack that has a random assortment of their beers. drinking the k9 cruiser winter ale right now. theres also some road dog porter, in heat wheat, snake dog ipa, classic pale ale, and some old scratch amber lager. these are some good beers. even the amber lager is good. i don't drink to many lagers as of the last few months..but this one is pretty good. not sure i'd buy a 6 pack of them..but i'd gladly drink them if i bought another mixed 12 pack.

Flat coke is one of the worst things ever, plus coupling that with rum of all things!
I've just had half a bottle of rose, now onto my 4th beer, after that some lovely single malt!

haha, exactly man. I know very well what you mean!
The Chimay Blue and Orval Belgians were beautiful last night. I'll definitely be picking up more of those two very soon...especially the Chimay blue.

No, I have that one left...I may hold on to it for awhile because I'm pretty sure I can't buy them otherwise.

that sucks...well drink it slowly heh
i liked it quite a bit. the store here had less than 10 on the shelf...i guess they could easily have more in the back..but i'm not sure..so i'll probably pick up another one soon. i think i liked the white more than the blue..though i've only had each of them once.

..you should of said the blue is better so I wouldn't get pissed about not being able to find the white anywhere. lol.
You should definitely try the Orval though, great taste and a even sweeter bottle! I see the one i had last night was made in 2005, but it doesn't "expire" until 2010, although you could age it for longer than that I'm sure. I'm sure it would be a lot better aged, as it is pretty carbonated. I'll probably get some more of it on Monday.
Hopefully I can get over to Premier Wines tomorrow to see what's new over there. The liquor store a 10 min. walk from me finally started selling Propeller IPA as of the other day, so I'm super fucking happy about that. It's $4.50 a bomber, but well worth it I guess.
You should see this store..since the NSLC is making a killing, they are making their stores into "upper scale shopping" establishments. Most of their stores now are covered in LCD flat screens and have a very modern design all around. They are also BRIGHT AS FUCK...brighter than a Wal-Mart. Most of them also have a huge walk-in beer fridge as well.
Although...I'd much rather shop in a piece-of-shit-looking dive if the prices were cheaper.

hah well you might have a different taste for them. my memory of the blue is much more faded than the white.
i'll look for the orval...i was trying to find some rocheford (however its spelled) but i couldn't find any of their stuff. i saw you mention it and that it was on the top 100 ba list. pretty high up there too..so i figured i'd give it a try.
haha that trailer park boys movie has made me want to try some of that propeller beer even more. stupid ass laws...

Yeah, I've had a few Tripel's(chimay white's style)and usually I've liked them. I first drank a Westmalle after a night of heavy boozing, so I probably shouldn't really judge that beer just yet.
The Rochefort almost reminds me of church...it almost tastes like the smell of church.
Yeah, hopefully in a next few years Propeller will start exporting more, especially to the states. It's like a hidden secret up here.

Jagerbombs but dropping a shot into a small-medium glass of redbull and chugging it. Or substitute for another other crack juice compared to redbull.
Half and half shots with Goldschlager.
Half and half shots with Southern Comfort.
It's pretty good with just coke as well, although I think it's best for shots.

i don't fuck with that stuff. don't like the taste...its like black licorice.
if i drink liquor..its mainly scotch/bourbon/whisky..sometimes rum..and even less often vodka. i just get a bit carried away with the liquor, so i don't drink it too often..especially not on weeknights.

No. It's 40% cinnamon schnapps with foil gold flakes in it. It comes in a "bell" shaped bottle. It's actually pretty good shit.

Me neither, but I've had some crazy memories drinking this shit. lol.
http://www.celluloidandvinyl.com/wp...oldschlager.jpg
I'm going to the casino on Friday with my infamous drinking partner Dave. We're starting off buy splitting a quart of Wild Turkey and some fine high alcohol Belgians I'm going to pick up. Then go to the casino, lose money, get even more drunk there, and then bar hopping.
haha, I seriously can't wait. It's been too long since we've been to casino(a few months). The pubs we are going to afterwards are either beer bars or brew pubs! Woo for trying new beer!

Jager is 35% abv. Goldschlager is 40% abv here from what I can remember, I DEFINITELY know it's not 35% abv. Although on wikipedia it says it's 43.5% abv.

Yummy looking pictures graf! I wouldn't put a good beer so close to cages of spiders though...you can't trust them!

hah i'd have let him if it wasn't one of my only beers.
no, they don't drink beer. i've never offered them beer before..but i figure they would ignore it at least. most likely it would repel them somewhat. desiccation (drying out) is one of the major causes of death for a spider..drinking alcohol would likely speed up this process. while holding one of my snakes, i let it smell the beer i was drinking...i wasn't about to let it into my glass, but the snake didn't seem to want anything to do with it in the first place.
hell alcohol is an acquired taste even for us...the only animal other than people that i've seen express any interest in alcohol was a dog. that girl would eat or drink anything though.

My dog hates beer, but it loves wine. Maybe your spiders just aren't fans of crappy beer? Try giving them a nice bowl (what do spiders drink out of anyway?) of champagne or whisky.

haha i'm sure that dog loved wine too..she was a food/drink whore.
mine drink out of random ass shit. i don't give them water dishes until they are about an inch in leg span..unless they are a species that needs higher humidity. for those i use regular bottled water caps. from then on i use all kinds of random shit. plastic lids mostly. i have some from spice jars, cricket food jars, pretty much anything that is not toxic to spiders and isn't porous. i give it a good wash in hot water without any soap and a good scrub with a paper towel. i have a few water dishes i bought at the pet store..designed most likely for reptiles..but they work. they aren't cheap though, so i only have a few of them for my larger spiders. ha i guess any more of this and i'm gonna post the reply in that other thread.
edit...ha that beer costs more than i paid for a few of the spiders i have!
edit again..ha about spiders drinking..i left out a major part of where they drink. in captivity and in the wild, they get a lot of moisture from the food they eat. if its an arthropod, they basically suck everything out of the exoskeleton..all the water the prey drank, all the food it ate, etc. in the wild they also drink from puddles, moist soil, even lakes. not sure about the ground dwelling (terrestrial) spiders, but at least some of the tree climbing (arboreal) spiders can walk on water. they are so light, they don't break the surface tension.

I used to catch those things when I was a kid..."water spiders" is what we would call them.
I just watched the Trailer Park Boys movie, haha, it was pretty funny shit. It's especially cool knowing where all the locations are, about the only place I didn't know was where the stripclub in the movie was...as well as a few tiny scenes.
I mention it in this thread because GODAMN there was a lot of Propeller advertising. The first shot of them, there were two bottles, the Pale Ale and the ESB. Throughout the movie after that was all ESB being shown. I couldn't believe how many times they showed it! Oh well, at least they are advertising good local beer, can't complain about that. The boys know their beer!
I posted this awhile ago, but here is the beer in question.
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l...ropelleresb.jpg
I'm really thinking about buying a sixer tomorrow just because of the frequent advertising. haha, DAMNIT.

no...by water spiders you are likely thinking of something like the genus Dolomedes. http://www.univie.ac.at/IECB/cell/f..._fimbriatus.jpg they can dive under water to capture prey. their body is covered with bristles (commonly confused as hairs) that can capture air and they all collect into a large bubble. the bubble stays over the abdomen (where the lungs are) and the spider can stay submerged for quite some time. i'm honestly not sure how long these types of spiders can stay submerged.
those are the common water spiders" that are known. what i was talking about was a certain genus of tarantula (particularly Avicularia) that can literally move across the surface of the water. the pads on their feet are made of thousands of small hairs. these hairs are able to catch a single bubble of air..so of the thousands per "foot" on a tarantula..they can maintain buoyancy.
alcohol - i traded my roommate a redhook esb for a flying dog snake dog ipa
haha yea i swore propeller sponsored them, but i didn't see them mentioned in the credits..maybe i missed it..but i guess they are just fans of good beer.

lol, your spider fascination is quite interesting. Yes, I definitely wasn't talking about those spiders, I wouldn't go near that fucking thing. lol.
I'm thinking they were fans of the beer, and asked them to do it for probably not a lot of money in return...or beer in return. lol.
When Ricky asks Lucy "are you still working at Hornton's", he is referring to the huge Canadian Coffee/donut franchise Tim Horton's.
Well, that was off topic. lol. Oh, and when Bubble's radio goes off and there is that radio jingle about "Vogue Optical"..it actually exists, it's an eyewear clinic.
And what's kinda fucked up about that is I saw the actor play Julian come out of one near me while I was waiting in the car for my dad. His brand new pimped out Mustang Saleen was parked next to our car.

haha my fascination with spiders has had almost two years to grow. i'm fairly new to the hobby..there are a lot of people (not including people with degrees) that make me look like the biggest noob as far as the hobby goes. i know a good deal..but i can only scratch the surface ultimately...though i'm working on it...reading a biology book about spiders hah.
yea, i thought propellor sponsored them at first but after not seeing them in the credits i figured it wasn't the case. either way, big ups to them both. recognizing good beer and making good beer. they each get my thumbs up.
hah yea i figured some of the things mentioned were candian versions of things we had here.
damn julian has a saleen mustang? pretty sweet. though if i were him i wouldn't fuck with ford. i don't like most american cars. not that there are many if any good canadian cars...except maybe this: http://www.supercars.net/cars/3723.html the only canadian car or supercar i know of. badass though...i'd love to own one!

WTF, Canadian supercar?
http://www.guidingstar.ca/Canadian_...e_Thumbnail.jpg
We have a lot of Ford/GM/etc plants up here...but no real "Distinctively Canadian" car manufacturing company to my knowledge.
Yeah, I saw his Saleen after that with Stevefrost behind a swimming pool/rec centre/library/skating rink/gym/ complex where they were filming. In the upcoming season(last i'm pretty sure), Sebastian Bach does a cameo, and in the paper it had an interview with about it at the time. He was actually there when saw them filming. Like anyone cares anyways about him anyways. lol.

haha, man you own me at 733T.
I had my one and only Chimay Tripel tonight...it was fantastic, a few friends seemed to enjoy it as well! Drank a few other beer, got a good buzz...then walked home with a book bag and bass through a fucking snow storm.
I don't think I'll drink tomorrow, but Friday I'll post with some alcohol stories. lol.

i wasn't sure if i had ever had the 60. i know i've tried the 90 and 120...none of which are very cheap at all. having had the 60..i want to go back and try them again to compare since its been somewhere around a year or so since i've had them.
they also have this stuff from dfh called burton baton. i want to pick up some of that..possibly this weekend. i've heard its fucking great, only its not cheap, so they said it would be good to drink for a special occasion.

not drinking anything new tonight but i bought a 6 of sierra nevada pale ale and had a couple hoegaarden. i also traded my drunk roommate some pizza bites for a choice of his last flying dog beers. since he had two, i took one of the in heat wheat ales. i saved my last dfh 60 min for lunch tomorrow. if you can find these beers and haven't tried them..give them a go.

It's fuckin Mardi Gras weekend....which is sure to be unhealthy. I get off of work tonight at 9, then it's off for the pregame, and then, titties and beer. Hopefully it won't be too cold tonight, and if it is, the chicks will just be that much more nipply. I have work at 9am tomorrow, and I think I might call is sick with a valid excuse.
Here's to unsafe sex with transvestites and post-ops.

Fuck.
I lost about $75. I have cuts all over my hans from punching my broken tv, I'll probabllt upload the video showing off my rage towards Sony. My knuckles a re full of blood and I hurt. Fucking Wild Turkey, that's the fucking drink. The casino didn't even have the local microbrews, so I had to settle for Guinness on tap. It was over $6.00 fpr fucking 12 oz. of the shit. What a rip.
Anyways, I love beer..but godamn, drtink hard liquor sometimes and you will apppreciate it..

shit, I didn't even think I was on MT last night.
I ended splitting a quart of Wild Turkey and a 6 pack of Propeller ESB with my friend in under 2 hours. Another friend of mine showed up and then we went to the casino, I lost $70...bought a few drinks, including a Guinness which was over $6! Fuck, I can still taste the dry gin martinis.
We ended up taking a cab back to my place. I have a older 26inch Sony tv which short circuited several months ago. For some reason I thought it was a good idea to destroy the back of it with my bare fists. lol. I wish my camera was here, because my knuckles look like they are broken. Actually, I think my friend recorded some of the madness on his phone. The hands are filled with gashes, I even have a godamn gash on my foot..the tube in the TV I was going to punch, but my friend advised me not too..so I put it to justice with the frying pan.
I just don't know what the hell I'm going to tell my dad when he asks "what the hell happened to the tv and your hands?".
God, maybe I should stick to beer. lol.

lolllerpanzy
anyways, work was awesome........
so i got a pint of whiskey and snuck it into a restraunt where me and an amigo slammed for about an hour and a half, continually spiking our beverages with the aforementioned beverage.
went to sister's where there was a perpetual keg (meaning 1 more filled after the one i was drinking......and it was the day after a party...........so no one was drinking it)
lastly, i bought a handle of JD for 30 bucks even which is over a 10 dollar discount.
now im drinkin over sierra nevada.........welcome hangover tomorrow.
= drunkboarding 2nd night in a row.
can i change my name? i more of an alcoholic than pot consumer now. Alcohol ist krieg,

Alcohol Ist Krieg, for sure, brother. I can't stand the fucking hangovers. If I fall into the trap of drinking a bunch of girlie shots at the bar that are bought for me by girls of course, I get hungover for about three days. That's why I drink pussy beer like Busch Light. I'm currently working on a thirty pack of that shit, however I'll still be hungover anyway.

i haven't posted in here in a few days..had a number of beers since then. basstendencies steve just left after hanging out for the weekend and playing some guitar, drinking beer, smoking, and playing ncaa 06. ha and we watched the trailer park boys movie.
got a 6 pack of sea dog hazelnut porter.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/IMG_8621s.jpg
i swore i posted about this one..but i guess i didn't. good..not too heavy for a porter...first thing you notice in both smell and taste is hazelnut. if you don't like hazelnut, you won't like this beer. a decent porter..not too expensive either.
i traded steve some for the sea dog wild blueberry wheat ale. surprisingly good stuff. i was a bit skeptical because of the fruit, but it was pretty good stuff. not too strong of a blueberry flavor, but enough to tell its there. the blueberry goes pretty well with the general flavor of wheat ales. who'd have thought?
sam adams white ale
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8626.jpg
saw these in 6 pack form..but wasn't too sure how it would be, so when i came across singles at the store, i grabbed one. was pretty good also. up there as one of my favorite beers from sam adams. for the style i would say it doesn't rank up there with the best. i had it a few days ago and amongst other beers, so i'm kinda just remembering my impression of the beer. overall, alright..but having tried one, i will most likely not be buying a 6 pack. not that it was bad..just mediocre.
trappist rochefort 8
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8652.jpg
i was hoping to find the 10 but this is all they had. the guy at the store said when they do manage to get the 10 in at a certain time..some guy comes in and if he sees it, will buy them all! what an asshole! i'm gonna ask the guy if he can set a couple aside when they do get them in if they'll remember. anyway..at first the flavor was a bit strange/much for me. was somewhat disappointed as i've read nothing but praise for these beers. as i was drinking it though, the flavor had already grown on me some and it was a pleasure to drink. i guess i would say its one of the cleanest finishing beers i've had. for such a strong and complex flavor..it doesn't really cling to your mouth after you swallowed the beer. oh yea..it was expensive as hell too.
dogfish head burton baton (double ipa)
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8655.jpg
10% and you can tell. very strong and complex flavor as well. i have one or two left...i think i'm going to add them to my small collection of beers that i'm aging. it was good tasting..but i could see how this beer could become very very good if all the flavors blended together and/or mellowed out some. expensive stuff and i'm not sure how often its available..but if you like double ipas, i would give it a shot. someone else described it as something you'd have on a special occasion or after a nice dinner.
samuel smiths taddy porter
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8713.jpg
we went to the grocery store that has a better beer selection than our usual one, and i was in for a surprise...they added some new beers to their stock. one being the taddy porter..the other was sam smiths something or other lager. i'll try that for sure..but for now i wanted to try the porter. first ss beer i've bought that came in a brown bottle. i liked this stuff a lot. possibly my favorite sam smith offering. roasted malty flavor is the predominate flavor. i recommend trying this stuff if you like porters.
had plenty of other beer...but they are either not worth the review (high life) or i've posted about them before.

yea that shit is expensive..pretty much the reason i don't normally drink it very often. just pick some up here and there. not that really any microbrewed beer is cheap..but dfh is on the upper end of the spectrum.

See, that's lucky..I have to buy all my Duvel's(and most micro imports) individually...and the Duvel are almost $4cdn each. It adds up!

yea thats how i have to buy chimay and some of the other beers they have. they do have plenty of 6 packs though..not nearly as many 12 packs, but there are some. i'm happy as a pig in shit that our grocery store started selling the variety 12 packs of flying dog beers. $15 isn't cheap..but for micro 12 packs..thats a pretty good deal. the best part is that i like all the beers in there..even the amber lager. speaking of lager..did you see the new beers they posted on the front page of ba? one of them is the leinenkugel's sunset wheat. an interesting read..i didn't even notice the blueberry (which the leine rep said most don't..but those alston or whatever brothers did) also, its made like a belgian wheat ale..only with lager yeast. those crafty cheeseheads.

$15us for Flying Dog 12 packs? That makes me feel a little better, they are around $20cdn here.
I rarely read the BA articles because I get saddened by the fact that I don't have access to many of the beers they are talking about.
There is a microbrewery from New Brunswick called Pumphouse that make a Blueberry wheat ale. Never tried it before though...mainly because I'm always tempted to by something else.

Well, my friend Adam and I had each a Barillito last night......
Sharp fruity taste like a cheap white wine, and then BAM!!! Nothing. It tastes little more than a diluted tonic water. Looks like bland piss.
I don't know how it got such high review. I may write a review myself. I'd give it no more than a 2/5 - 2.3/5, and that would be generous. I mean, you could drink probably a hundred of them, but would probably have too seeing how it's 3.6%. FUCKING WEAK!
I took pictures...I'll probably post them later..the bottle is in a neat design at least.

Last night, I went to a local bar with a friend and got 3 pitchers....2 of zeigen bock and 1 of a microbrew in Houston, Tx that was a dark brown ale. The microbrew fucked me up and I sang karaoke......papa was a rolling stone -the temptations. In a drunken stupor, I managed to navigate my way home and pass out. I can tell my throbbing head that last night was badass.

haha drunken karaoke huh? never done that so far.
hell yea! went to the beer store, being friday and all, they had two beers i've been looking for. finally got some trois pistoles..drinking one now out of the bottle. haha just kidding...using that duvel glass. i'm not sure as i've only had a few sips..but i think i might like la fin du monde a little more. either way, its damn good.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...er/IMG_8760.jpg
also bought some corsendonk brown ale. which my friend tells me is the shit. she said their pale ale isn't as good though...and she hasn't tried the christmas ale. the store has all three now though..so i'll probably give them each a go if the brown ale is good. i'm sure it will be though, she likes good beer.
was gonna buy a bottle of dogfish head 120 min ipa..but i could hear the sounds of squealing tires with locked up brakes when i saw the price tag. 12 bucks a 12 oz bottle! so i grabbed a 4 pack of 90 min which is slightly less than the one bottle.
randomly i also picked up a bottle of porter from the ukraine, a double chocolate stout from the uk, and a duvel since i haven't had any since i bought that gift set. i'll post about the others once i've starting drinking them.
i spent 45 bucks all together! ouch. good thing it was pay day. i should get a frequent buyer discount ha.

45 bucks? jeez, how long do you think that'll last ya? my rationality for buying expensive beer is that I used to spend all my money on pot, which was 50+ dollars a week......and my alcoholic habit is anywhere from 15-40 dollars a week. so, i'm saving money and get to start damaging other organs while i give my lungs a break.
anyways, i'll prob throw down for a keg tonight...10 bucks or something. should be a good time.

not sure, i'm hoping to still have some good beers left by monday...i'm gonna go to the store and pick up some shitty beer...likely high life..maybe even high life light. i usually just have a handful of good beers..then switch to the shit beers to continue into drunkenness. i'd punch myself if i drank 45 bucks of beer in one night. well at home i mean...wouldn't be very hard at the bar.

Had a 6 pack of Guinness Extra Stout last night... it tasted way better than Guinness draught, I had no problem drinking all 6, but if I had a 6 pack of draught I probably would have

Nice job dude. I've heard it was way better than the draught too. That's a beer I've been meaning to pick up for quite some time..but the idea always got overruled by other beers. lol.
If everything goes well tomorrow, me and some buddies are going to start drinking at 12pm-1pm tomorrow and then go downtown to go beer bar hopping.

another keg of zeigen last night. i played a new drinking game called flip cup. here are the rules.
first, you will need:
2 teams of at least 3 people
a long table
cups
plenty of beer
anyways, fill all the cups equally. the first member of each team start at the same time and chug their beer. then, they have to set the cup on the edge of the table face up and filp the cup so that it lands upside down. once the first person completes their task, the second person chugs their beer, and so on. the first team to finish wins and the losing team has to all chug a beer.
the game is extremely fun. we played about 6 games and then had an every man for himself musical chairs style game. i got down to the last 2, but lost. great game.
i got to see a good buddy last night. twas really a good night.

hah that game is pretty fun. i'm not too big on drinking games myself though. it would be funny to watch people play that game with certain types of beer like imperial stout, belgian quadrupel, or even imperial/double ipa.

Yeah I agree. A goofball competitive friend of mine sometimes pressures me to drink, after I tell him to go fuck himself, I say "here, you chug it"...his attempts to chug a chimay or rochefort are hilarious.I can drink his ass under the table, then again..I'm 40-55 lbs more than him, but I'm not an asshole about drinking beer.
Some people don't understand "enjoying" the taste of your beer.
But don't get me wrong, I love chugging a good session beer...but not something that is meant to be sipped and cherished.

haha yea i agree...i've never even bothered trying to chug any of these beers. each gulp would sound like the "cha-ching" sound of money. expensive or not, you just have to drink and enjoy with some of the beers. others are suited for mass consumption. is there anything beer can't do?

Get you sober?
In speaking of drinking, there were a lot of underage drunk kids at the all age Martyr show last night. Like...some of these kids were fucking trashed! Those were the days! haha, nothing beats drinking in the woods, behind a school, or at a playground.

i hear that. many of the best times i've had drinking were when i wasn't allowed to. haha i remember one new years we spent so long trying to actually obtain some beer..that by the time we got it and were at the spot we were going to drink it...we didn't even really feel like drinking. i don't think a single one of us finished a 40. not the best drinking story..but a random weird one.
i guess beer can't get you sober...but you could always try with some odouels hah. reminds me of another beer story... was at a friends house for a party and after all the beer ran out, someone was going to the store up the street on a beer run. i threw them 5 bucks and said just get me a 6 pack of some cheap shit. they came back with some cheap shit alright..but it was non alcoholic!! i don't really know the person..but to this day (at least 3 years later) i cannot forgive them.

hahaha, a 6 pack of non alcoholic beer! That fucking sucks dude. What a tool this guy must have been!
Oh god, booze runs are much harder to come by than to get drugs...drug dealers don't ID you. haha. Luckily for me I used to hang out with generally older guys..including a 24 or 26 year old security guard that always bought me and my friends alcohol...no idea why he wanted to hang out with a bunch of fifteen year olds though. I remember when we first met him, we were smoking weed in the local woods and he came out of no where and started conversation. We thought the guy was a fucking narc. haha..then realized he probably wasn't after buying us rum and beer several times.
I haven't done many liquor runs since I've been legal age, and thank god not too many people have approached me with the offer. I'd do it under most cases if asked, I kind of feel a little obliged to give back to my community.
I've only done a few when I just turned 19..and now I would flatly deny to buy any 40oz, 32oz or any other terrible beer. Well, maybe not...the kids have to learn from their experiences.

maybe the guy liked you guys in a special way.
hah yea i have hooked up a few youngins, but honestly i haven't had too many even try to ask about me buying shit for them. seems kids these days all know someone.
when we lived on this one base, we would always have this girl ask marines to buy us beer since she was really hot. she didn't quite get why she always had to do it..but you wouldn't believe how fast she could get beer as opposed to me or one of my other guy friends trying to ask marines to buy us beer. she ruled.
on a shitty note...i just finished eating dinner and brushed my teeth. unfortunately, i didn't remember i still had some dfh 90 min ipa left in my glass...damnit! no way in hell any beer will taste good after brushing your teeth....and i really don't feel like eating a salty snack to counter the toothpaste just to have the last of it...

when we lived on this one base, we would always have this girl ask marines to buy us beer since she was really hot. she didn't quite get why she always had to do it..but you wouldn't believe how fast she could get beer as opposed to me or one of my other guy friends trying to ask marines to buy us beer. she ruled.
on a shitty note...i just finished eating dinner and brushed my teeth. unfortunately, i didn't remember i still had some dfh 90 min ipa left in my glass...damnit! no way in hell any beer will taste good after brushing your teeth....and i really don't feel like eating a salty snack to counter the toothpaste just to have the last of it...

haha, that sucks about the wasted beer. I need to try the 90min ipa, as well as the other two. Odd that you say that..my teeth were brushed and I was ready about to go to sleep when I realized I still had half a glass of Orval left the other night.
Belgium drain pours are like going to a priest's funeral.

yea it was rough to pour the last of that ipa out..it was the last one from the four pack too. i don't even like pouring out half a beer left over from the night before even if its not that great of a beer...much less a good still fresh beer.
forgive me lord, for i have sinned!
having my last trois pistoles today for lunch. i have one corsendonk left which i think i'm gonna save for lunch tomorrow..after that, i don't plan on drinking till friday..or at least not having more than one or two drinks.
