hahah i'd have said something two if you both hadn't beat me to the punch.
well the becks family was on sale so chose to live on the wild side and try the oktoberfest since i've never had it before and its only a seasonal beer. its pretty good. not very dark but not piss colored either. i passed up becks dark though to try this...honestly i wish i had gotten the dark..outside of getting to try a new beer.

Fuck Labor Ready...you got to wait like 4 or 5 hours sometimes before you're even assigned a job. Then when you get one, its with a bunch of ignorant illegal immigrants that don't shower or wear underwear.
I like Fosters right now...thats my brew of choice these days. Fuckin' last weekend me and a couple homies drank 2 fifths of Wild Turkey (101) and 2 cases of Fosters....not to brag but I'm the fuckin' man.....with a sad liver

Where are you from? The company must be fairly big.
Yeah, I know about the waiting, but a friend I know has worked there many time s and he said it's usually 2 hours at the very most. I'm fucking desperate for money though man.

Oh really? Will they tell you when it's gonna be on? If they do pm me and let me know. We watch that channel a lot. I've had lots of their teas over the past 30+ years and some of the older boxes I have saved they're so cool looking graphically.

This is what I drank last night, and well, Keith's after this shit was all gone.
Garrison Raspberry Wheat Ale - http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l.../raspwheat1.jpg
Black and Tan, Garrison Martello Stout and Propeller Extra Special Bitter, half and half - http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l...oth/darktan.jpg
Jesus, were these beers ever good. Very low or none existent carbination as there was no additives or preservatives. You could taste and feel the quality of the ingredients so well. The black and tan drink was very good, with a smokey roasted coffee/nut taste, mainly from the stout. DAMN GOOD.
The Raspberry Wheat Ale tasted just as it sounds, but very well crafted. The first drink is like a smooth raspberry taste, and then get's evened with a somewhat dry wheat taste.
Apparently, I've been sitting on a gold mine of beer and not knowing it. If your local areas have microbrews/brewpubs, you must look into them.

Aww dude, they were awesome! Especially mixed together! Try it with a stout and a pale/light ale sometime. If you pour the ale first, very slowly, then the stout...the two with seperate. http://www.beerappreciation.com/Images/black-n-tan.jpg
But apparently that is the "American way" compared to the way I did it, which is the Irish way.
But next time I do it, the bitter will be poured in with the underside of a spoon.(makes a bigger head I assume)

wow, theres a thought! i never EVER thought of mixing beer! it sounds so daring and risky ! haha, well, i dont know about all that. there is too many combinations, i had a hard enough time finding ONE beer i wanted to stick with, without the task of finding a combination of two.

Yeah, I never really thought of it until my friend's dad brought it up, who's been drinking beer for 45 years. lol.
I guess Guinness and Bass is the "mainstream" black and tan drink. At least it appeared that way when I looked it up.
Since the other night I'm going to try a lot more dark ale's, mainly because I've been harrassing the lagers/pale ales for so long. If beer can taste like roasted nut/chocolate, then I'll damn well try it.
I really wish we got Sam Adam's over at this part of the neighbourhood(canada), but it is non-existent at the NSLC. I'd love to try that shit.

Yea, dark and hoppy/malty ales are where its at! Have to have a pint of lighter, fruity stuff every now and again though
On a similar note, i'm going to try my hand at home-brew and hopefully get some nice tasting ale
Oh, and by the way, pouring onto the reverse of a spoon will create slightly more head, but will also make it sit on top much easier

home brew sluts!!
yeast being added to the mixture of water, malt syrup, sugar, gypsum, and hops(which were strained out)
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/IMG_6411s.jpg
hops in strainer after being boiled in water with sugar, malt syrup, and gypsum.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/IMG_6414s.jpg
the hops don't look too appetizing but damn our house smells good now the waiting game begins. until the bottling comes..then a little more waiting and it should be ready. i was mistaken in that other thread and sqol was right...i think it should take about 5 weeks...i was thinking it took longer but i think i just forgot what i had read. i'll let you bastards know how it turns out!
oh yea...and the recipe we followed should come out to 43ish beers.

its the same as on here. i haven't made any posts yet...just read peoples reviews. some of these people are real beer snobs! i was searching some stuff i really liked and some of the reviews are crazy.
another thing i noticed is i really suck at describing beers. i don't know where they come up with some of the flavors they taste...

Yeah I know...some of them definitely seem like beer eliteists. However, the reviews can give you some what of an indication of what you are looking for in a beer.

i've been drinkin a lot of domestic beer lately. specifically, shiner blonde and shiner hefeweizen. both of them are fantastic, and the hefeweizen's bottle looks totally badass.

If beer were that cheap here it would be front page of our paper, lol, seriously.
A cheap 12 pack here is $17.

ouch!! i know the money is a little different in value..but not that much. thats pretty expensive..here, as far as macro breweries go, an expensive 12 pack is like 14 bucks. there are more expensive ones but its mostly higher end imports or micro breweries. you guys should stock up in the us and bring it back north.

It has nothing to do with the canadian dollar, which is .88-.89us today. It has to do with all the taxes thrown on our alcohol, especially beer.
Then again, the NSLC doesn't really sell cheap beer to begin with..just Colt 45.

You didn't buy the non-alcoholic ones did you?
Bought a 4 pack of Hobgoblin a few days ago, reason: King of Ales!

I'm so glad Canada has nothing to do with Britian anymore!
I bought two 6 packs of St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout and a 650ml bottle of Propeller IPA. My advice, don't chug several steins of stout, don't drink a lot of your friends inferior american macro beer, and if you're ever in Halifax, pick up some Propeller IPA because it was DAMN good.

Haha, that's what I thought before I checked over every bottle!
Spitfire and Bombardier are the Kings of Ales. Hobgoblin's just the Prince.

last night, i got smashed. a friend and i slammed a bottle of rum, then dropped by a gas stop and picked up some beer. so, hours later, we were sitting in my room watching Ensiferum's dvd and i found a firecracker, an M-60. i pretended to light it and i could see my friend was alarmed. haha. then the alcohol gave me that extra boost, and i did light it! so the fuse was quickly wasting away. i realized what was happeneing and i tried to pull out the fuse. didnt happen. however, it did scortch my thumb and first finger... but not soon before exploding in my other hand. guys... dont feel sorry for me . go ahead and laugh your ass off, because i did when i started typing this, and again just now. Haaaaaah!
nothing happened to the hand it exploded in! but i do have blisters on both thumb and pointer.
i think i clearly displayed the downside of getting pissed. but i think it was pretty damn funny.

haha, dumbass. Firecrackers have blown off in my hand before, that shit hurts!!
My drunken friend and I were lighting concrete tile on fire with gasoline in his backyard. I kicked a cigarette butt into it and my sneaker was on fire. lol.

Anybody had Delirium Noel? Get's good reviews at BA, and I'll probably try it if I get my hands on it, which is probable. Just wondering if anyone here has had it.

You're alcohol selection REALLY baffles me...a guy who likes Corona would also enjoy Rochefort?? You don't make any sense! Dude, try more craft/microbrewed beer..your list lacks fine beer.
I drank two 6 packs of Propeller Extra Special Bitter last night. GOLD MEDAL WINNER 2006 World Beer Championships!! It's really delicious and easy to drink a lot of them.
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1878/5125
I didn't even have much of a buzz until I put 4 shots of Jagermeister into my beer stein and downed it. I then walked home(20 min)...thought I was going to puke, didn't..and woke up on my bathroom floor.

And it's all beer until the Mike's Hard and Smirnoff?
My favourite beer list definitely wouldn't be that long, and it would have beer styles rather than just the actual brand.(which doesn't mean much...unless you are drinking generic macro piss)

when i drink beer i like honey brown lager, labatt blue, anything amberbock, and natural ice because of the higher alcohol content, the taste on the other hand
and as far as liquor goes i like crown royal and irish mist whiskey, captain morgan tattoo spiced rum, and CM private stock which is good rum, and bicardi 151 because its 75% alcohol

I've had many good nights and some terrible mornings with the ole Crown. And you cannot beat the design of the bottle. Each twist off the cap makes you one step closer of feeling like a drunken English King.(Yet weren't they all drunk)
A pint of Crown Royal and a good case of beer is the start to a perfect, social evening.

yeah, talking to yourself at home, then waking up in the bathroom, wondering what the fuck happened . considering the "good case" is a 18 pack.

Oh man, did you make Jagerbombs out of the Jager and Redbull? Sooo good. I recommend Goldschlager mixed with Jager as a shot(half/half), or as "Schlagerbombs".

ick. i hate jager and schlager. i can drink either and have..but i've NEVER paid money for either of these beverages. i just can't get into those syrup like liquors. makes me think of nyquil. those beers you go the other day look pretty good though bassb. ill have to keep my eyes peeled. last night i drank some yuengling, so co, and bushmills irish whiskey. we took some funny pics of my old roommate that passed out. finally i wasn't the one to be violated with sausage!! haha. i'll post the pics tomorrow or something..don't feel like resizing them right now. we also put his hand in a bowl of warm water...no pissing though. actually glad about that since he was laying on one of our couches.

hahaha hell yea! we were at a neighbors keg party last night until the cops showed up. the only time i've ever danced at a club or anywhere else for that matter was hanging out with some friends a few years ago...they dragged me out to some bar/club thinking it was some certain type of dancing music and it turned out to be salsa night. i drank a lot before i got there and drank a bunch of 151 at the club.
last thing i remember was sitting at some outside bar that was closed (within the club still) later i woke up at home and found out some girl carried me into my room with my arm around her shoulder slurring and talking to everyone we passed haha and that i had salsa danced a bit...apparently i wasn't too bad for never doing it before and being wasted. haven't danced since.

Oh yeah, good luck finding Propeller in American stores....
It's not exported...most varieties aren't even sold in Central Canada, and not at all in the West.

Yeah, actually on BA they were talking about that...I'm pretty sure there had to say it was memorabilia or something...there should be a thread about it in the main chat there somewhere.
They were saying some bottles made it, a lot were confiscated. Silly godamn laws.

Maybe if tm comes up here he'll smuggle some beer back.
I'm sure you have damn good selection anyways...although if your ever in eastern Canada, you should definitely try some of the beers/beerpubs up here. There are really good microbreweries throughout Canada, but it's usually pretty rare to find even a small portion of it.
I can get a lot of Rogue up here with not much effort...but I don't even wanna tell you the prices of the bombers. lol.

i get most my pussy from my badass dance moves. hah.
keep in mind, i went to a highschool where whites were the minority and the school dances were nothing short of dry humping orgies. i actually came in my pants at my sophmore homecoming dance after an intense bump-n-grind session...

Please tell me that is no joke. Cause if it is, then it won't be funny.

I was never at a high school dance! And I spent two extra years there! WOOOOOO.
I danced because I was drinking rum and beer all day...and seeing my friend's reaction on his face while I was dancing with his girl was priceless.
This is not with her...but on the top of dancing while keeping it G'3d up.

any closer and you guys will be sitting on eachothers laps.
you ever have any jalapeno ale from garrison brewing co? someone said its from nova scotia. people were talking about some chili beer that is made in texas or something..and someone else recommended trying that if any beer with pepper in it.
to me, it sounds like a bad mixture. jalapeno jelly beans sucked, not sure how or why beer would be any better. on the other hand, beer and peppers are two of my favorite things and i will try this stuff one day.

Sweet, yeah they brew and sell that here...I guess it's supposed to taste pretty out there..I'll haven't tried it yet, I'm sure I will someday soon and I'll let you know how it is.
I really enjoy spicy food, but not spicy drinks(except craft ginger beer). One time on a school band trip in junior high I went to the bathroom in the hotel room and my friends dumped chilli powder/jalapeno pepper/cajun pepper spice into my coke! I took a huge chug and spit the shit everywhere! It blew out of my nose and everything, haha, it was a terrible experience.
I bought rat traps that same trip and put some near the window still, I got my buddy right in the balls while he was opening the blinds one morning.

Yum, the cream soda sounds good. The two bigger craft breweries in Halifax both make craft sodas, but I've only tried Propeller's Ginger Beer(non-alcoholic)...and godamn it has a good kick to it.
