Nile?
are there any sound demos with Nile on the net? or what band is most like Nile?
I have looked in most cd stores near my and none of them has any Nile cd, well, I actually dont even know if they have given out any cd's. I also checked on the net if I could download it somwhere and didn't find anything. I really want to hear them caus you guys talk so much about them

wow, I find that really odd that you cant find anything about nile. theyve been around for quite some time now, and my cd store has a rather big selection of nile cds. Nile was one of the first death metal (or metal, period) bands i got into. No mp3's either? Strange.
i think there website is nilecatacombs.com. if not just goto www.deathmetal.com and get the site. they have all that stuff there.

why do people think nile is so special... they are just a novelty band, once the novelty wore off, i sold my cds, havent looked back since.

i dunno, i really like brutal death metal, but i just dont like em, the egyptian thing is really annoying when they arent even from egypt, the guitars are tuned to a point of not being able to be heard in the mix, they vocals are pretty lame, just some monotonous growls that never really change even though its 3-4 people doing it. they just seem like a they used the egytian thing to get big, like slipknot used their masks and nihilistic attitiude to get big.

Karl is really into Egyptian Mythology. Its no different from people who study Christianity, or practice that wicca shite. If you don't like them because of their music, then fine, but don't bash a band based on what they believe in.
And FYI, its 2 people doing the vocals. The drummer doesn't.
