I'd go for the Washburn. It looks 1283904823048029348 times cooler

i ve playd some gibson sg's and they seemed alright but they just didnt do it for me as they didnt feel right and thats what counts for me. They kind of made me feel like i was playin a cheaply made guitar, a bit like a crappy esp ltd, but slightly better. So i'd go with the dime out of the two, but if i had the choice of any other guitar i'd get either a ibanez prestige s or a bc rich nj ironbird.

i'd go SG all the way, i love my SG's to death. the pickups are so so but they treated me well for a long time stock before i yanked them. i can't reccomend gibson enough man. they are a solid piece of workmanship

Customs dosent always hold it and such. Its just since the package was form poland, had little to no english, didnt describe what woods where used and such.
Shamray manages to ship into america without customs charging an assload of $

Agree
I agree with philkilla. I have a Dime333bd (which i assume is very much the same) and it has been awesome. I went for 3 months without having to touch the tuning!!!! id like to see the sg do the same (a bit unfair i know) HHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have both, actually. I end up playing the SG more for a few reasons:
1. I'm fairly lazy about some things, and changing strings on a Floyd Rose is one of them. True, it's not hard, but it's time consuming, as is just plain tuning and retuning.
2. I'm at school now, and the Dime has a gigantic case. It looks like I'm carrying around a keyboard. The SG, on the other hand, fits in both my car and my tiny dorm room. This also makes it easier to carry around when I'm going to a friend's to jam, or using my money amp to beg money on the street.
They've really both got their advantages, but it's all convenience on the SG's side and all quality on the Dime's. The Dime fretboard, for example, really facilitates fast solo runs, and has that 24th fret for when 22 just won't do the damn job. And having that flying V crook makes it easy to prop up to get proper leverage for said runs. The pick-ups I find more or less comparable, but I'm in the unfortunate position of having to play either ampless or through shitty amps at the moment, so that shouldn't be a surprise. Honestly, it depends on what you want to do with it, but if you don't mind the logistical problems, I'd go with the Dime. It always sounds fine when I play rock or blues on it, anyway.
