Randall Vs. H&K Vs. Marshall
If I'm going for more NuMetal type amp running through a ESP Viper-1000 with EMG 81's what amp would you suggest?
I am looking for a nice deep crunchy, sort of like a Rammstien or perhaps some of the Static-X type sounds.
I am looking to spend less than 1000$ US. Thanks for any help!

well, static x uses marshall i beleive.... the new h&K warp series stuff is geared for nu metal.... randall can probably hit that territory, but of the three i wouldnt go randall for the sounds you want...
for a budget of $1,000... buy used  ....

On some magazine i saw a pic of static-x and he was using a marshall mode 4.
But i dont trust magazines because it also says that kerry king is using a mode 4  |

definetly if you look at his budget, the warp 7 is way better then the Marshall MG series, especially for downtunings.
for that budget its gonna be a solid state halfstack, I'm not a big randall fan to be honest, they kinda sound like the peavey solid states, not bad for at home, but nothing you'de like to take on the road really.
another option would be getting something used.

With 1000$ you can get some pretty good shit. BV60 half stack, Peavey XXX Half stack, 5150 Half stack, or a Warp 7 half stack to name a few. Go to a store, cheak shit out. Remember, always look at the used market like eBay.

and i'd have to take the 5150 off that list... have you ever heard a 5150 with scooped mids? it sounds horrid... i mean, most amps don't sound very good with scooped mids, the 5150 just plain fucking blows with the mids below like 3-4
