its my roommates. not sure how much she paid...but i have two baby corns. one was 25 bucks, the other was 50..some are even more. depends on who bred them and what kind and the actual pattern on the snake, etc. its pretty cheap to maintain. but when they are young, a lot of times, they like to bite a little. one i have has never tried to bite me once..the other, once it gets hold with its mouth, shakes its head back and forth haha. i don't want to get into a big long ass post about keeping snakes, so if you really want one and have questions, i'll answer them in pm heh.

cool...well since you are up in ca, there aren't as many people available to buy from. i really can't help you with reptiles..but for spiders.."tarantula canada" is your best bet. its run/owned by a guy named martin and his wife amanda http://www.tarantulacanada.ca/ they have a lot of great species that sometimes aren't even available yet in the us. though many times we can get things here for less they would probably be able to point you in the right direction for snakes/reptiles too. i could talk your ear off on this shit though, so when or if you are thinking about it, you can pm me and i'll help you with what i can.
i dont think the snake has been in her cunt..but shes only lived here for less than a year haha |

hahah none of those could kill you. you could possibly rarely have some kind of allergic reaction to their venom, but there hasn't been a documented case of this resulting in death with tarantulas.
rose hairs (Grammostola rosea) are the most common, and cheapest available. that seems a bit high to me. you could buy an adult female for a similar price. they take decently long time to grow, and about the female thing..they live up to about 20 or so years..males don't live near as long. once they mature they have about a year or so average to mate, and then they die. another big thing about these, they are pet rocks. its not that other spiders do all kinds of shit..they mostly just wait for prey and surprise attack them. but these almost never move at all unless i throw food in there.

PEople like that I would think would ruin the whole show for everyone. I read somwhere at some concert with Guns N Roses performing one of the guitarist just took his guitar off and walked off stage after tripping over too many bottles.
Probably the reason why at Ozzfest water bottles and the such were prohibited.

that is fucking stupid. I was at ozzfest 2004. hoses were all we got. Water bottles are made out of plastic and can be crushed with a bandmate who weighs more than 80 pounds, they can't hurt you like glass beer bottles can.

The reason why water bottles were not allowed at OZZfest was because it was being sold for $5 a bottle inside.

I got stories of just Ozzfest. In the late 90's me and my friends would go every year. One year a of my friend mine got a nasty black eye from a poorly thrown water bottle. Another year a friend got 2nd dedree burns when a plate of hot fresh nacho cheese landing directly on his head. Another year a friend almost needed stiches after a flatened plastic cup alost cut his ear off. I'm not even including the other horrors I've seen at large manic insane metal crowds. Did we bitch? No. That's metal |

I got broken ribs during both Pantera and Slayer shows at Ozzfest. St. Louis shows are brutal, the pits go absolutely nuts. I've got broken ribs twice at Pantera shows. I didn't think they were broken at first but later you feel it and know.
It hurts like hell. You never forget the show where it happened.

i dont think anyone intended for the mosh craze to last as long as it has, most underground shows dont really get serious like those festivals<beyond tough guy xhxaxrxdxcxoxrxe kung-fu ballerina dancing>, places like ozzfest and lalapalooza have 100x more dangerous pits with 100x more dumb people. im suprise noone dont get trampled and die and shit.
its gotten to the point of being totally dumb, too many guys doing football charges and bad karate kicks, its all too intentional. local shows here, you see more people moving to the music but the slamdance thing is not forefront, you dont see people catching thier breathe for round 2 like its just something you are obligated to do, aim for the other guy,push someone from behind back in. most pits now are more like a series of suckerpunches and cheapshots which isnt the point.

Exactly man, it seems like any part in a song that has an ounce of groove to it turns into a slamdance/moshpit bastard child. Which then gives birth to some guy (or worse, girl, in which case the whole situation gets a lot worse in all aspects) getting hurt and he or his friends wanting to beat the slamfuck out of whoever did it. Its crazy, it seems to be losing its ettiquite, at least in the clubs around here.

When wally and his dad and wally's drummer went to Ozzfest years ago they threw dirt clods. I saw the "destruction" on the news. Crazy metalheads.
I thought I'd share my pictures of my carrion plant that popped open today. It has a smell like rotten meat, but if I keep it out of a lot of heat and light it's faint enough to not bug anyone or attract flies. You can see from the size of my hand how big the flower is. It's about the size of the whole plant.
I nicknamed it "stinky" years ago. I had no idea what it was when it was given to me and the person that did died in a car wreck. If she knew what it was she probably is sitting up ther elaughing whenever it blooms.

Yeah, thanks for the info. I remember from biology, there are two types of circulatory systems. Most animals more complex than a crustacean or insect have the kind that have blood vessels that move the blood around faster and more efficiently. The other kind, the blood collects in like...a chamber and gets absorbed into the body slowly. I thought about that but forgot that insects have goo when you crush them.

One reason I don't really feel sympathetic towards insects is that they outnumber us 6,000,000 to 1. The only way I could see us killing so many of htem that it actually affected the earth in a big way, is if we found out they could be used for fuel

There was a cool old store with all sorts of antiques from the owner's collection all around the ceiling and he sold pickled quail eggs, canned rattlesnake meat, and various chocolate covered bugs. I never tried any, but that's one of those teen memories I have. He was one of the only grocers that would deliver your orders, too. He's buried next to his store which is next to a cemetery.

friend of mine was so poor living in communist era moscow that roaches would invade his cereal. he was too young and too hungry to care,just ate the bugs as they drown in the milk. dont know if its entirely true since the guy told long tales that seemed,at time exaggerated. but from knowing the dudes family they did have an incredibly tough life. his mom was one of those lower russian muslims, a tartar or some similiar ethnicity, very asian/causcasian looking, his dad locked up in gulag during his childhood.

I was in DC once when I was about 11-12...at that time I only wanted to leave the Air and Space museum and the Natural History building of the Smithsonian.
I remember the A&S had this big Star Wars exhibit with original props and costumes. It was fucking awesome. Shit, I wonder if I still have pics from that.
Edit - There is no guys in black swat gear on top of the Whitehouse in your pic..I remember seeing those nuts.
