Slabbis, no, it's not my dog. I don't have one, and if I had one and did that to it, I'd probably get in trouble.
The thing is, in biology today, we went out to our teacher's farm (he's like, ehm, a "hobby farmer"), and just had a look around. Then he decided we could disect a lamb that had died like yesterday or so. It was a female lamb (proper english word, anyone?), which was rather unusual (usually it's the male lambs that fight too much with each other and break their necks). So we cut it up and started having a look around, took out the heart and guts and lungs and stuff. Then someone opened one of the lungs up, and then we found the cause of death. A big piece of grass had got stuck down in one of the bronchi (practically in the lung, really), so the lamb had suffocated. Then the teacher decided that it'd be a good idea to let the class see what a brain looks like, so he got a saw and started cutting the lambs head up. After he had a little slit on top of the head, he started cracking it open with a pair of pliers, and we got to see the brain, and the nerves going to the eyes and nose. Then we got rid of all the organs and cleaned up the mess we had made, and had something to eat before going back to school.
And FYI, I was not very amused to see the way my classmates handled that lamb, and the gore wasn't really pleasant either. The reason I posted that pic here was mainly to see if anyone was going to get upset, or if you'd really just say "cool, got more pics?" or something (I do have a few more pics though).
So there's really not much to worry about (except the way my dear classmates behave...).
Now, don't let this hijack the thread to badly.

There's nothing wrong with the way your classmates behaved unless you are leaving out details. Gore isn't pleasant, but it's something we have to deal with for a variety of reasons. We need to put up with gore in order to eat, we need to put up with gore in order to study animals and cure diseases and such.
I've dissected dead snakes to get a proper idea of their anatomical layout. I already knew what the average dead snake's insides look like from books, but it never hurts to add experience to book knowledge.

Speaking of cats and disscetion, I dissected a cat last year for Physiology. Very interesting, but skinning it was no fun, and the odd perservatiove they used (not Fermaldahyde(sp?)) smelled quite rank. Took about a month to go through all the different systems and such.

Yeah, I know. What annoyed me about the way they behaved is that they didn't seem to think about what they were doing. It feels like they just kind of did things, and that it'd be easy to make them do other, less clever things. It bugs me when people just do, and don't think. That's what I meant. (Well, something along those lines. I'm having a very hard time trying to describe what it was about their behaviour that was "strange")
