Blue Cheer - Live in Japan
I can definitely see how they are labelled as "the foundation of modern heavy metal" (instead of Black Sabbath), a lot of the riffs are way ahead of their time and do not sound liek late 60's rock at all. Plus, the solos the guitarist pulls off are amazing.

I resurrect this thread carefully. (note: def, if you don't agree with me, then just kill this thread like you did to all the other ones)
I would like to see some mini album reviews. This way nobody should post more than once every couple of days, and it doesn’t just devolve into people posting another song every couple of hours. I will kick this off with the following.
The Day Everything Became Nothing - Slow Death By Grinding CD/EP (http://tdebn.noescaperecords.com/)
Their latest effort released earlier this year. Notably the band has the guitarist from Fuck ...I’m Dead and the vocalist from Blood Duster. They play pitch shifted, upbeat grind, along the lines of Cock and Ball Torture, but more upbeat. There isn't much difference between this one, and their last release Le Mort, though I think the production may be slightly better. I quite enjoy the album generally, there is a great 'live' song ( Mortem off their first album) as well as a cover of Satyricon's Fuel For Hatred.
That leaves only 3 original songs, meaning that your 'slow death' isn’t really all that slow after all, in fact, you are supposed to be dead in 16 minutes and 39 seconds. Although I gather that being grinded to death for that long would be painful, I prefer slow deaths to take longer. My other issue with the album is that I don't particularly like the screamy, raspy vocals on the second track. Even though the riffs and drums are as good as any other track I find myself skipping this song because the vocals annoy me that much.
All up, this is a nice crunchy album and a worthwhile buy and addition to anybodies collection. There shouldn't be any need to tell you that I would recommend you to buy Le Mort first either, as I raved about it non stop when it first came out.
Bolt Thrower - Honor Valor Pride (http://www.boltthrower.com/)
As soon as I put this CD in my CD player I feel like getting some cammo and a toy M16 and running around the house, taking cover behind various pieces of furniture and firing at invisible people, whom are trying to invade my bunker (house). Everybody should know whom Bolt Thrower are, and what they play. For those of you who don't, you are missing out on something good. Bolt Thrower plays straight up, mid paced old school death metal at its best.
This album follows along their reformed style of slower paced music, but this is still good stuff! This album also sees Karl leave the band to be replaced by Dave Ingram, whom does a great job behind the mike. (Though you should all know that Karl is now back in the band for the imminent release of a new album) The band also continue in their general style of war themes, which, lets face it, is more interesting that listening to yet another album about cutting up dead bodies (usually that you just killed) and eating them. The songs flow nicely together, and I find that more times than not I sit down and listen to this album from gunfire to explosion, relishing every note and word, absent mindedly head banging away (which does get me some strange looks while I listen on the train with headphones). How often do you see an ugly long haired blonde guy head banging away and air guitaring to the sound of an engine? I’m sure if they would understand if they knew the pure bliss that exists in going home being combined with Bolt Thrower.
Anyway, you should be leaving now to buy the album and leave me in peace to listen to it. Go on, your keys are just over there.

I'm pretty sure Nomad said he didn't want any reviews on metalTABS.com. But if it does go ahead, I won't complain. Here's one from me:
Deströyer 666 - Unchain the Wolves
This album is a very fine debut from these Aussies. They do not compromise or take any prisoners, do not fuck around trying to look evil or spend hours practising their scary faces in the mirror. Rather, they spend this time that is normally fucked around with that type of bullshit, writing very catchy, fist-pumping riffs that have you banging your head and chanting pro-Satanic hymns.
Opening with ambience following into the mid-paced opener "Genesis to Genocide," a very suitable opening track. Taking things up a notch on their brilliant fist-pumping patriotic anthem "Australian and Anti-Christ," listen for the riff at about 1:43, and you will be converted to Destroyer forever. Not wasting the album with one decent song, "Satan's Hammer" is an extremely evil and dark track which is for sure, one of the best on the album.
The listener is then taken on a hell of a ride that will leave you burned and disorientated, especially from the wacky tempo changes in the title track.
Closing with a war anthem in "Onwards to Arktoga," they could not have chosen a more appropriate album closer if they were paid to.
Overall, 8/10. A great album mixing sweet production (something oh so rare in black metal these days), with just enough thrash elements to give it a more "good-time" feel, with raw and evil guitars and the unique growling that is really unlike any other vocalist I've heard, "Unchain the Wolves" is a great, solid way to open a career.

Napalm Death - The Code is Red...Long Live the Code
Awesome album as expected plus a bonus promo cd of 18 other bands on their label that has some good stuff on it.
After listening to it about thirty or so times, I would personally place it in the Napalm Death full length album catalog as follows:
1. Enemy of the Music Business
2. Words from the Exit Wound
3. Fear, Emptiness, Despair
4. The Code is Red...Long Live the Code
5. Inside the Torn Apart
6. Diatribes
7. Order of the Leech
8. Utopia Banished
9. (The rest of the old stuff)
